Lunar

Personality

Due to Lunar's closeness to the moon, she was born with lunar sickness. Her organs glow, and she can spend entire days sleeping and speaking to the moon in her dreams. Solar is the only one who can ease her symptoms, though Odin also makes balms to help her pain.
She is a timid, gentle wolf. Her pack-mates have described her as having a rabbit's heart. She sometimes wonders if they're right. Wherever she goes, rabbits and hares follow her. She can't stand to chase them off or kill them, so she lets them stay. She's very fond of the little creatures.

Backstory

The sun and the moon have their own duties, and are usually too busy to meet. The moon always feels her lover's glow, but rarely her lips. When they do finally meet, the sky goes dark and even the stars come out to celebrate.
Shortly after a solar eclipse, two wolves are blessed by the sun and moon's spirit. One will be blessed with a coat as black as a starless night and eyes yellow like the sun, and the other with a pure white coat like the moon's glow. Even if they are born in different packs at different times, the two wolves will be drawn to each other. They will take to magic naturally, and grow even stronger in each other's presence.
Lunar was the first of these wolves. When she was born, her parents assumed she was a male, but she soon realised she had the moon's spirit in more ways than one. She felt much more comfortable as a she-wolf. Her pack and family accepted her, but she still felt out of place. The disconnect between herself and her body seemed to extend to the other wolves, and she found it hard to make friends. She was almost glad for the lethargy the moon gave her, because it meant she was able to sleep away her days. In her dreams she could live as herself.
When news of her birth got to Orion, he vowed to find her and Solar. He went to great lengths to find her, and searched for her for months. Eventually he found her, when she was still a pup.
He explained that his pack had affinity with the moon, and that he would be honoured if she were to come and practice her magic with them. It'd be a clean slate. Maybe this time she wouldn't feel so out of place. So she agreed, and followed him to his territory.
She still felt that disconnect, but it got easier to manage as she got older. And in her new home, it was easier to break through. She connected with Orion on a deep level, and she feels that he's like an adoptive father. And Solar. She loved Solar since the day they met. They have always vowed to protect and love each other.
