Birthed

It was a humid summer's day when Yakunos mother birthed him & his siblings. Now usually when a pup is born they are celebrated and loved, however, that wasn't the case with Yakuno. He was a bit different from his two brothers and sister, so he was rejected by his father. His mother still nursed him until he was old enough to be weaned. Then when he became of age the pack he was in had a meeting and spoke with his parents and let them know, the other wolves feel a bad juju on him and he needs to go, as he is no longer welcome in The Nightshade Pack of Madridge Forest. Yakunos father didn't hesitate to banish his son to the outskirts. His brothers didn't even care about the fact Yakuno was being banished. However his sister, always fought to protect Yakuno as he was always picked on by the other wolves. She was saddened to see him go. And resents her pack keeping his memory alive in hopes one day she will see him again and they are reunited.

The Long Journey:

Yakuno traveled night and day week after week after his banishment with his head down and his heart empty. He struggled to catch food and find a safe place to sleep most nights, but he managed because he is a fighter and he refused to let this be the end of him. His head still lowered he found another pack. And he spoke with their leader yet she looked away in disgust, as she spoke those foul words he has never forgotten.

"We do not allow such abominations into our pack as we pride ourselves on looks and our breeds, why you ever thought such a thing as we would take you in is beyond my comprehension. Maybe along with the face of a monster you have a brain the size of an acorn and there, you thought such childish things. You are to leave immediately before I have my wolves attack and kill you for even thinking it's okay to exist. Begone, you miscreant."

Yakunos heart sank into the pit of his stomach as he heard this wolf utter those words to him, he ran off in a flash before she could get another word out. tears filled his eyes as he ran through the forest. "Miscreant?"... "Kill me?" He thought to himself... he couldn't help but think himself if his existence really was causing this turmoil for the other packs. Yakuno tripped over a tree branch stuck into the ground and tumbled down a hill of leaves and sticks falling into a small pool of water. Too sore to really get up he whines in pain and stares into the body of water looking at his reflection and evaluating himself. More tears fell from his eyes and he cried and cried until he just fell asleep. He was lucky no nearby Cougars or Bears saw him. He lived to see another day. When he awoke, he was even more sore than before he had drifted off into a slumber. However, even though he was safe for that night, he knew he couldn't stay near this watering hole, or he might encounter danger. So he slowly got up. and as he rose he noticed a shiny blue light atop a mountain and decided that's where he would go. Far away from this place never to be seen again. And headed Westbound.

On his journey, he met many new faces and learned a lot of new things. He started to become smarter and learned how to fend for himself. As he got closer to this mountain top he began to think if there are others out there just like him... other... "Outcast." or "Abominations." were there others like him who knew what it was like to not be accepted and for everyone to want you... dead. It took Yakuno three very long, hot, and exhausting weeks to reach the top of the mountain. and during the rest of his journey, Yakunos mind sits heavy about the others who might be out there wandering the woods, alone, scared, or even dead. After his very long journey, Yakuno finally made it to the top of the mountain and he climbed, climbed & climbed until he reached the top. After the top had been reached he looked out over the valley as the sun was beginning to set and the world suddenly didn't seem so dark for him anymore, that's when he took a deep breath in and a deep breath out & from that moment on he declared that he would start his own pack and everyone in need would be welcome. He wouldn't turn them away and he wouldn't threaten their lives. He would become the sanctuary and acceptance that they needed, that no one provided him. And this is how The Imperfect Canines Pack on CrimsonClaw Moutain became about.
