Brand

Brand hopes to one day become leader of the Everburn Pack, however the rules for ascension may not work in his favor. For in the Everburn Pack, leaders are determined upon the season they were born into. Rasha, Brand's mother, is the current leader. She was born in Summer, much like Brand. So once she is no longer fit to lead, the next leader must have been born in Fall.

Brand's only hope is that Rasha steps down when they have no one fit to take her place. This would begin the ascension ritual, where any who desire to take the mantle of leader must go to the Garnet Caverns, find a ruby and a sapphire, then cast these gems into the ceremonial flames. Once all have completed the task, the entire pack will watch as the Flame Mother's chosen- a Raven- flies down and perches atop the head of the next leader.
