Feathershine got into the pack by accident, succumbing to the eloquent conversations of the Nettle Star, becoming friends with her.
Over time, the Nettle Star stopped taking care of itself and postponed questions about the future of the pack. The pack's healer, Feathershine, often came to her cave. The doctor gave her herbs that helped her fall asleep, and also carefully asked her what decision to make in the current situation. Feathershine believed that with proper care, Nettle Star would recover.
When Nettlestar picked up the puppies from the enclave, there was an unusual wolf cub with white spots with them. For a long time she did not dare to give him a name, as later she began to suspect a bad omen. Feathershine saved him from Nettlestar's wrath by taking him to her herb-scented cave, giving the cub a new name - Slatebreeze. However, after Slatebreeze grew up, Sasha could not take him as a healer, as she was not confident enough in the wolf. Slatebreeze did not want to join the hunting party, as he did not get along with the wolves there, and the only thing left for him was to keep an eye on the little cubs.
