Biography
Nāhiʻenaʻena was born in 1815 to King Kamehameha I and Keōpūolani, the Queen Consort. Nāhiʻenaʻena was the last born(also called muli loa), which was considered sacred, and a high rank. In turn of such, she was trained for the great responsibility that came with the role. In Hawai`i, it was believed that people die twice. First the mind, then the body. She became deranged 3 months after her first borns death, which was when her mind died on December 30th, 1836, but her body did not die until January 5th, 1837.
