Biography

Mio and Mao were the first unusual birth of the Legion of Ghouls.. after the mother's quite intense labour, she turned to clean her two pups, only to find that there were one too many heads. Despite the shock, she took care of the little thing, making sure she was healthy for as long as possible, but Mio and Mao's mother knew that her strange little pup would not live a long natural life. So she set on a journey to find a special "Jellyfish of Youth" to keep her pup young forever. While she may not grow old and become a hunter nor a scout, she would thrive within the pack she was born into.
Mio and Mao were adventurous, constantly wandering away and looking for trouble. They wanted to see things, explore other dens and meet new wolves. Now that they were forever protected, their mother decided that perhaps they should be able to see the world.

Lore: Mio and Mao had a rough journey through the tundra but they soon arrived in the pack. They were shocked by all the wolves but were happy to be met with friendly faces and wanted to return to this pack and make more friends with the wolves in the pack. She loves how the wolves care for each other and help each other and she wishes her home pack acted like this no violence or arguments just peace and love and she hopes to return to the pack to live here permanently but for now she will have stories to tell her mother

Pack Name: Lep!dopterans
Lore: Mio and Mao were escorted up the mountain with little difficulty, spending their first night on the plateau and indulging in a celebratory feast thrown by the pack. They were then lead up to the peak the following morning in order to spend the rest of their visit as highly honoured guests, surrounded by the pack's most revered wolves.
The majority of their time at the top involved stories being told and hidden paths being explored, most often closely accompanied by fellow pup Ceithir and his guardian Còig, as the boy took great interest in having a playmate closer to his age than the rest of his usual companions in the hexad.
Before they continued their journey to other territories, Ceithir also insisted on Mio and Mao taking a token of their friendship in the form of pearls he and Còig had been collecting, as well as a 'pet butterfly' - a common sight in his pack - that he thought would suit them quite well.

Pack Name: Deadbones Pack
Lore: Upon travelling and meeting past wolves, Mio and Mao wander up to the tundra, miraculously surviving not only the terrain but also territorial wolves and other animals. Luckily, they came up to a more friendly and large pack led by an oddly coloured she-wolf. They weren't sure how to approach at first until the she-wolf came up to them. "Hello you two, I'm Miami." She said with a honey-sweet voice. They looked up at her in wonderment, why was she being so nice when they were so different-looking and not to mention, on her territory?
Miami walked behind them nudging them towards the direction of the rest of the pack. "They all want to meet you two. They alerted me that you were here," she said with a smile, looking towards a jumble of trees towards the north of them. Mio and Mao looked at each other as best they could, confused. They thought they were being sly and sneaky, making sure to watch the wind and the direction it blew and taking careful measures not to step on any fallen twigs. Regardless, they followed her anyway. Upon walking in they saw many multicoloured wolves, some never seen before in their lives, albeit just starting out, they were in awe. So many new faces greeted them and all were friendly. A group of 10 pups were the next to come and meet the new arrival and all at once they started to jump around and play. It was hours before Miami called dinner for all as the hunting party had returned. Miami took a few chunks and set it in front of the pup so they could eat. once everyone was done Miami took them to the pup den with the rest of the pups to go to bed for the night. In the morning she will assist the pups' directions and let them continue their journey.

Pack Name: Whisper of the Stars
Lore: Mio and Mao wandered into the Taiga, it's rather cold and filled with snow, as they trot ahead. A purple and black she-wolf stumbled from the bushes, the rabbit bolted past the she-wolf's jaws, and the she-wolf sighed before looking at Mio and Mao. The she-wolf tilted her head curiously before wagging her tail in a greeting, "I'm Error," she said. Error had never seen a pup with multiple heads, then soon realized Mio and Mao were travellers, Error apologized for the stare, and led Mio and Mao towards the pack. A few pups greeted Mio and Mao as they had also never seen a pup with multiple heads, but they respected Mio and Mao as a fellow pup. Before the left a few days later, a few pups said farewell and good luck to them, then Error led them to the pack border and gave them a gift. Error handcrafted the gift, before licking Mio and Mao's head as she wished them good luck and that the Stars would guide Mio and Mao the to next pack.

Lore: Gunnr had just crested the ridge of the plains when a small figure caught her eye. A strange-looking wolf with 2 heads. She was unsure how a creature such as this was even able to survive and went down to greet them. She met them and exchanged names and brought the young wolf back to the pack. It was winter and the winds could be deadly to a normal wolf. Mio and Mao told their story and how they were forever protected so the cold never bothered them anyway. The young wolf stayed with the pupsitters and loved to get them to play. A few of the young wolves grew up and noticed that Mio and Mao stayed the same regardless of the passage of time.
Eventually, as the snow started to melt and the passage once again became clear, they let the pack know it was time to move on. Gunnr had let them know of another pack that would treat them well and ushered them on their way.

Pack Name: Toska
Lore: As Wiigwaas was exploring the bordering territory of Lyght Borne, he stumbled across an odd looking pup. Their cheery and playful demenor immediately drew him in. It didn't take much convincing to bring the pup back to Toska's home den. Ogimaawi, already having a soft spot for pups, immediately took them in. Toska's pupsitters and incoming litters showered Mio and Mao in affection and attention. But as quickly as they graced the pack, they had to leave. Ogimaawi was reluctant but sent them with parting gifts to give to their next host. Toska will miss them.

Pack Name: Adderstrike Pack
Lore: The wolves of Adderstrike Pack were shocked at the first glance of the unusual wolf, as it was their first time seeing any wolf like it. Bazilstar shooed them away and welcomed the traveller to stay, learning their names Mío and Mao and gladly offered them a place to stay. Bazilstars age was clear in her steps and she reassured the traveller that she was glad to see a polycephaly pup in her lifetime, even if Mío and Mao would be the only ones. Adderstrike Pack had many fun memories with Mio and Mao and it was sad to see them finally leave, but the wolves knew the traveller had countless journeys ahead of them.

Lore: The small pup...or was it pups, were welcomed into the pack to stay as long as they needed without a second thought. The new leader Legion'Seeker, a wolf born with 8 legs, and known for being a prophet in his pack saw the pup's strange mutation and saw himself in it. He took the pup in as his own for the time that Mio and Mao decided to stay, adorning them in gifts and hoping that one day, when their journey was over, he may see them again.

Lore: Spectra was exploring her new territory when she smelled a strange wolf, deciding to check it out and hopefully make a new friend, she was surprised to see a strange pup alone in the woods. She approached the pup and after chatting for a while, offered to let them stay with her pack for a few days. Mio and Mao happily accepted her offer and enjoyed the company until it was time to continue their journey.

Lore: Mio and Mao found themselves at the welcoming paws of Cathartes Paridae, they noticed a few odd beings, feeling less alone, the two-in-one pups learnt more about the pack, understanding their traditions and even got to experience how they celebrate and remember their loved ones that have passed, unfortunately, they did not have enough decorations during the celebration to offer to Mio and Mao, leaving them with a hand-made crown by the caretakers of Cathartes Paridae.

Lore: With summer upon them, Mio and Mao found themselves within the territory of Luminous Lunar. The scout Chaos happened upon them, giving a courteous greeting before bringing them to the Alphess Toxicity. This pack was made up of some brightly coloured individuals, the neon hues of each pelt standing out against the lush territory. The two were the first wolves that had come to the lands with such a mutation, and after learning of the special item that had been used to make them immortal the pack seemed to treat them as some sort of otherworldly being. Alphess Toxicity took the two under her paw, spending her days telling them of her adventures as a new Alpha, of her mentor Estella, and identifying plants alongside the herbalist. The pups seemed to really enjoy the presence of someone as unique as Mio and Mao, and an endless stream of questions seemed to pour from their muzzles. Time seemed to fly by rather quickly, and it was time to depart before the two knew it.

Lore: In the heart of the rugged mountains, the two-headed wolf arrived at the Alpine Pack, drawing curious glances from the members who had never seen such a creature. During their stay, they adapted to the pack's ways, learning to navigate the steep terrain and sharing stories. As the days turned into weeks, they formed a strong bond with the pack, sharing in their howls that echoed through the valley. However, as the full moon rose high in the sky, signaling a time of change, Mio and Mao felt the call of the wild beckoning once more. As a gift for good fortune, the pack herbalist bestowed a berry necklace for the pair - the berries were native to the pack's land and symbolised their shared time together. With a heavy heart but a spirit full of adventure, the two-headed wolf bid farewell to the Alpine Pack, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy that would be whispered among the mountains for years to come.
Pack Name: Burning Dawn
Lore: Upon returning home to Legion of Ghouls after their visit to the Alpine Pack, their alpha, Aether, explained to the immortal pups that their mother had passed on. The gift of eternal life she gave them only protected them and so she was no more. They would be responsible for carrying on her legacy. The pups let out a sorrowful howl, hoping their song would reach their mother in the stars. The did their best to keep their happy composure but at every turn they hoped she would appear again. A new alpha, Osiris, took over Aether's place once he passed and he couldn't stand to see the torture the loss of their mother was causing the pups. Osiris pulled the pups aside on an early Fall day and explained to the pup that they could seek out a new home as long as the alpha of that pack could prove they were worthy of caring for the immortal pups. So Mio and Mao with the help of Osiris began searching. Many alphas from far and wide approached them, some with malicious intent, some too kind to keep the pups safe, but finally on an early Winter morning, an observant she-wolf who's pelt shimmered with flames, approached Osiris. She was followed by a green-eyed grey male, who stayed close but let her lead.
"I am Flamethorn, alpha of the Burning Dawn pack, this is my mate, Whitehawk. We reside in a hidden valley within the mountains. I heard whispers of an immortal pup born under a Winter's Fullmoon and to see you first hand is wondrous," she said. "I know you are looking to seek a new home where you can escape your grief and I wanted to introduce someone who might be able to help."
Two pups poked their heads out from behind Whitehawk, as he stepped away and they came into full view it became apparent that Mio and Mao were not the only ones who had been gifted eternal life. The pups were joined, so similar to Mio and Mao, but they only shared a hip, at a quick glance you might think they were two.
"We are Lily and Dhalia, twins that the Moon Goddess sought to keep together eternally. Our mother, like yours passed on and her soul left the earth while her body remained. Our pack has only ever felt like home and we hope you will join us to see our packmates come and go," the pup on the left spoke, her sister looking at the pups with such kindness.
Mio and Mao looked to Osiris, it was clear that this pack would be their salvation. The two-headed pup spent time getting to know Lily and Dhalia while their alphas worked out the details. Soon enough Flamethorn and Osiris came back over, "Welcome home little one."
