A soft chirping can be heard from a nearby den, a rather sleekly built male being the source. "Were you looking for something, or someone?" He inquired, already sensing your presence by the awkward aura you radiated.

"Those who speak the tongue of the fauna gain their trust, but those who master it can garner respect. And as you can tell-" He chirps once again, a small grouse coming to his side. And with a swift pluck, he retrieves a sharp-looking feather from the bird before it humbly retreats, "-it's an easy routine of mine. The pack has deemed me the name Call of the Wild, but if you humbly so choose, call me 'Your Worst Nightmare'. I don't garner well with strangers, and since you decided to stumble into my den without so much as an escort, there'll be... severe consequences."

The male chirped once again, calling another, yet different, grouse to his side, repeating the same manners as he did with the first. Now he had placed both sets of feathers near his ear, his light-colored eyes narrowing. And with a swift lunge, he yanks you by the scruff, and intertwines a piece of tough vine to clamp your maw shut. He hushes you as he does such whilst fixating your paws with yet another set of tough vine.

"Now, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. I'd let you choose-" He paused, bluntly pointing to your maw, "-but it seems you lost the right to speak... I wonder how that happened, hmm?"

He chirps an intoxicating, melodic tune to summon one final grouse, once again different from the formers. Donning this set of feathers next to the formers, he was complete. He lightly smirked, flicking your nose with a claw, "Hmm, should a good ol' fashioned pummeling sound fun, or need I... spice things up?"
