Lore-

Laoise was both metaphorically and literally, a gem found by the Chieftain Mosikayneeuh. Born to a pair of wolves both harbouring colours rivalling those of a peacock, the young pup was conceived with the same brightness and beauty from her birth pack in the grasslands. When it was shared that she needed a place to go beyond her home, Mosikayneeuh allowed her to join them through the support of the herbalist and lunar envoy, Abalone himself taking on her care alongside his mate. Laoise was properly named in honour of her welcome and became quite the talk of the young males; especially Loach, when she reached adulthood and rightfully so. Abalone decreed that Dahmahaw would accept her as a council member, if the she wolf would agree to work under their white wolf mother. When she accepted the offer, it was clear Laoise was destined for light beyond her own.
