Topielica(female variant of Topielec, other names: Utopiec, eng. The Drowned)
It is believed that The Drowned were a demon in slavic folklore that came to life when a young woman commited suicide or was killed by drowning.
,,It is believed that after dusk, under the moon's shine, the drowned come out of the deep water to the shores, they sing and dance in the meadows; then their eyes shine like stars, and their hair, flowing around their shoulders, hums and rings as if it was a distant music. With this rustling the Drowned put the people to sleep, to make them miss out on their dances and plays. Those who would have a fern flower with themselves, however, wouldn't me affected by these ghosts' music, and The Drowned would become their slaves; they would fish, hunt the lake birds, and during the dreads they would water the crops of their Master.
Very often The Drowned take a form of beautiful young women and play around the springs and punds, and after luring the innocent hunters with their beauty they kidnap them into the depths of the forests, to the bottoms of the lakes."
