She may be lazy but she is also a schemer. And all if not most of her plans involve getting out of things that require movement and/or hard work. Her sister Babette adores her and goes along with what she says, she utterly loves the rewards Snow-crackle's schemes bring, and she always shares them with her.

Snow-crackle maay have a little crush on Angelite-

She was very excited to be training in his group, The Dark Crystals. Though because she's training to be a chaser, she had to keep her eyes on Bezel instead...drat!

Bezel is great fun of course but it was ridiculously hard to pay attention to him when Angelite was mere metres ahead...

After the event, Leaf-crunch congratulated her and said she'd ran the fastest he'd ever seen, without any schemes for getting out of it!

Of course, she just had to! To impress him

Snow-crakle tried on a daisy crown, as the leader Ilmenite had bought many apparel pieces from a flower festival. Babette said the green matched her eyes, her mother said it was beautiful, Bezel complimented the 'classic look' and...

EVEN MONSOON NOTICED!!

But...Not Angelite...

At least Babette came to howl at the moon with her after she told her sister. Both of them howled extra hard that night, Babette was probably just doing it so Snow-crackle wouldn't feel so shy about howling though.

"Need help? I can help carry that" Angelite said to Funnel-web who was dragging a doe carcass back to camp

"Oh really, Angie? Im not sure your tiny cute self could handle it!" she teased

"Watch me, Cobbles"

He took the carcass and could barely carry it.

That's just because it's a really heavy doe. Probably ate too much grass she theorized

And with Angelite and Funnel-web, they where probably just really good friends..right? Right?!

Then she watched them touch noses and say all kinds of mushy stuff...she dropped the beaver carcass she was holding. She felt a bit sick.

Just then, Snow-crackle heard the Special Howl. The one her father always did to indicate a family reunion. Not to see the new puppies, she already had a few days ago; the odd squirmy beans that Babette seemed obsessed with. So then, what would this reunion be about? she mused as she met up with Claudius and went to the nursery.

When they all gathered together, he told them;

"This one is Bliss" he pointed at the bean with the blue dashes on its back just like mother's

"Your mother named her, and she wants me to name the other one. The problem is, I have no idea what to name her. But someone is saying "it's only fair for you to name one too" " he continued, giving her a playful side eye

Blaise playfully gave one back.

"So then, you called us here so we could do a ritual, contact a god and then the god could name the second one?" Snow-crackle interjected

It sounded a divine plan in her head.

"Well no, Snowy, I just want you to help me come up with a name. We'll do it together!" he said

So they all stared at the little blue pup and got thinking.

"Carla? Maria? Alexandra?" Claudius had suggested

Their father shook his head:

"Those names are more in Blaise's style. How about something different?"

Babette's ears perked up.

"Can we name her sort-of like Snow-crakle's? The little one is blue kind of like snow, plus,
Snow-crackle deserves to have someone named after her" she said

The titanium wolf's ears tingled in embarrassment at the genuine compliment. And then suddenly, everyone was suggesting names all over again:

"Snow..fall?" suggested Babette

"Too similar" said their father

"Snowflake-sparkle?" suggested Claudius

"Uhh no- that one doesn't feel correct" he said again

Babette poked Snow-crackle's flank with her tail, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Why don't you suggest names for our sister? You always have good ideas"

Right! Dont think about those two for now, think of names... she told herself in her head

Many names swam in her thoughts until...

"Harlequinn!" she exclaimed

"Harlequinn?" her father asked

"If we're looking for a name thats sort-of based on me, I think Harlequinn's a good name. They're these really cool creatures that I like"

"Harlequinn" her father repeated again

"Har-le-quinn.." Babette vocalized

Perhaps they wouldn't like how strange it sounded..But, she did try at least.

"Its perfect!" said her dad

"I didn't know it at the time but it's exactly what I was looking for. She is now Harlequinn"

And...everyone else aggreed with him?? Even Claudious who seemed to prefer more traditional names.

"You scheme was sucessful" Babette said amusedly

Scheme...she hadn't had any at all recently, had she? Unless they had to do with getting with Angelite. Then it hit her..She'd wasted most of her late apprenticehood and early adulthood scheming about him. And focusing on him now would do her no favours, now that it seemed he'd found someone.

It's time for a new scheme! she thought as she took off her white flowercrown
