Komaterasu

Ever since he was a mere pup, Komaterasu had always been inquisitive, constantly seeking out new information and had an unquenchable thirst to always be in the know. Born to his pack's best scout and hunter, he was the strongest of his litter. Unfortunately, his littermates were stillborn due to being born in the frigid winter of the Taiga. The sole survivor of his litter of four, Komaterasu was coddled. Thankfully, that did not affect his outlook on life and he became a well-adjusted member. With a will to survive and make his parents proud, as Komaterasu grew, he soon found it difficult to resist the urge to set out on his own. Thankfully, not long after he reached adulthood, his parents bore another litter that all survived.

With the knowledge that his parents would be alright, along with his new younger siblings, Komaterasu set out on his own as soon as he reached a single cycle of age. Four seasons had passed him by and he was old enough to strike out on his own. He ventured in a southwest direction, called to the mountain range. Komaterasu ventured through the dense coniferous forest, pausing to admire the sheer majesty of the redwood trees, noting how small he felt compared to their gargantuan size. As he passed through the coniferous forest, he eventually reached the grassy hills of the grasslands. Just as he reached the foothills of the mountain range, he came across the beautiful and stunning Amaterasu.

She took his breath away and he decided to join her journey, becoming her traveling partner. The two participated in hunts that were mostly successful. They chased deer and other cervidae alike, swapping stories of their puphood and their former lives as members of their former packs. They also shared the experiences they wanted from life. Upon the realization that they were alike and shared similar dreams, the pair decided to become mates. The two decided to continue to the mountains where they settled and began raising a family.

Koma, the affectionate nickname that Ama had bestowed upon the male, decided that he would take over the leadership duties while Amaterasu took on scouting. He ventures beyond the borders frequently and enjoys exploring beyond their cozy mountainous home, bringing back both items he'd found in order to support their growing pack, as well as stories of his adventures.
