Snowdrift was born in the glaciers. His pack was comprised of his parents and two of his littermates. Because of this, the pack had close social bonds with one another.
Despite the close bonds he shared with his family, food was very scarce and mostly came to him as small, fast prey. He was lucky enough to hunt enough food to survive, most of his pack succumbed to hunger in the end. By 3 years of age, only one of his siblings remained but was starving.
Snowdrift met Midnight when he travelled to the tundra in search for food. She helped him catch a musk ox calf and bring some meat chunks back to his sibling, only to find that his sibling had passed away while Snowdrift was gone. After an hour of consolation, Midnight asked if he'd like to join the pack, to which he agreed, becoming a pupsitter.
