Lorik

He was the first puppy Lord took in. There was maybe 8 months difference between them. As a child he was very effusive, he was everywhere, the caretaker had no small problem keeping him alive because going outside the camp was his greatest passion. Everything changed when he persuaded his younger sister to join one such outing. They hadn't even walked through the long rock tunnel leading to the camp when a snake emerged from between the stones and wounded Lasya. The tiny girl didn't survive the accident, the venom sucked the rest of her life out of her in two days, and Lorik didn't know he would never shake the guilt. He was never the same again, became quiet and subdued, and never played around again.
He was quite good at hunting as a teenager. The problem arose when he liked the commander of his hunting group. He couldn't handle the feeling, the she-wolf was already taken. So he cut himself off from hunting and never went on a serious expedition. For a long time he did nothing specific, when the Lord decided to move the pack to the grassland, Lorik wanted to stay in the mountains. However, he eventually followed the leader and became his best assistant.
Once again, Lorik was burned by his feelings while wandering in search of a new home. Patch was beautiful, he affectionately called her goddess. When the Lord saw Lorik's look at Patch, he was sure that his friend had lost his mind. They became a couple and started planning to have children. And when things were starting to look perfect, the flu came and defeated Łatka in three days. Lorik broke down.
In a new camp, in a new pack, he became a scout. Thanks to this, he spent a lot of time completely alone.
One day, on his way, he met a traveler who wanted to join the herd for some time. She was beautiful, Lorik felt "something" again that he felt for Patch. The wolf probably also caught her eye, maybe it would make a good romance. However, Lorik was afraid of feelings. Even friendship, because he recently buried his friend Sokół. Everyone he loved was leaving, so he chased the traveler away, not wanting to love her too and then watch her leave this world. Mentors usually form a strong bond with students. Lorik kept his student at a distance, and his first lesson was:

The most important thing is that no one will hurt you if you remain indifferent. Indifference kills relationships, but it keeps your heart from breaking. When indifference comes after a broken serve, it's the best you can feel.
