say your hunting party comes back and one of the wolves had a scuffle with a bull elk during the hunt. they could have received a slash to their side that wasn't deep enough to absolutely need medical care. you could either apply an open wound medicine or spend a few rollovers letting the wolf heal, if you let the wolf heal naturally you could receive a side scar decoration applied to the wolf(or into your hoard like some battles provide a scar decoration)! so now you have lore with each wolf and they each tell their own stories and scars they've earned! As Hollow Howls said, to make using a medicine a better option, and to make things more realistic/more risk vs reward leaving the wounds even if they are small to try and heal at rollover(which ill iterate healing at rollover would be a low percentage like the other healable illnesses) can result in the wound getting worse by infection! |

This would be super cool for lore and visual reasons! I wish some of my wolves could look like they have faced the roughs of surviving x_x but I never really have enough scar decors to do that :,)... This would be perfect and add a bit more depth to illnesses! |

This does sound pretty neat. It should definitely be by a chance basis to avoid over populating the scar market. At minimum 50/50, 30/70 would be much better. I think it should auto apply, meaning if you want to use the scar on a different wolf, it comes with 4 uses or the very least, it's a toggle-able option. This bit would probably work a lot better with an illness themed update. But it'd be pretty neat if over the ROs they have a chance to evolve into an infection, removing the chance at getting a scar (or meaning the infection must be cured before getting a scar. To be fair, just casually having an open wound for the rest of your life has always been a bit conflicting to me. This detail should only apply to roles that actively put your wolf in "danger" so not for pupsitters or herbalists and I'm on the fence about including scouts. Maybe even include a decreased odd for stalkers as they tend to not be in direct "danger". This is at least my first glance thoughts. I can probably refine my suggestions later lol |
