as the subject states i think the open wound from hunting chance should be lowered, OR reduce with the wolf's party synergy/skills/proficiency, as of currently it feels way too common to have a hunt return home and wind up with an open wound so much so that multiple players myself included decide its best and easier to just give them a healing salve and not bother to give them an open wound cure unless you want to breed the wolf, I've currently got 5 wolves from a total of 4 parties with open wounds and its just not worth it to waste herbs on crafting open wound cures in the current medicine system

Frrr open wounds salves use rare herbs and needed way too much. Once got 5 wounds in 2 days

I personally disagree with this. Now if it were just a small lowered chance based on the proficiency and synergy of the party, I wouldn't mind, but overall lowering the rate at which all hunting wolves get open wounds seems excessive. After all, the whole point of having herbs and an herbalist is to make cures for cases in which your hunting wolves get hurt. It may seem like a 'waste' when you get so many in such a small amount of time, but it gives herbalists a job and makes them useful. Otherwise you're just occasionally using your herbie when you get the occasional fleas or influenza, etc.

The part I do agree with is maybe lowering the chance of getting an open wound the higher proficiency and synergy your hunting party has, but only slightly. Your wolves are bound to get hurt after a certain point when hunting, and while having better proficiency and synergy with their team may lower that, it's not always going to prevent scraping against a sharp branch in a chase or getting a kick to the side while tackling the prey, or whatever happens out there when they're hunting. So maybe if it was lowered just a tad for higher proficiency, that'd be fine. But lowering the chances in general, as I stated before, seems a bit much for my liking.

I'd love to hear some other opinions on this though. There may be some good points as to why it should be lowered, and maybe some good points as to why it should stay the same, that others can share.

This. I get way too many, pretty much every hunt, and it's just.. insane, especially since there's only one herbalist and i'm running low on herbs due to having to craft so many open wound salves. The chances should lower as prof. goes up
