looking at the poll results, i honestly hope preferences are kept. as long as they are distributed evenly. i feel like removing the preferences kills a lot of potential lore and representation that could be had. so i hope its kept, just even odds for everyone!

it feels kinda weird to just suddenly erase the gay wolves (axhayet, cian, inve, swansea, vernon, violet) for instance, please dont do that D:

I really like the dateable wolves having preferences! It feels more 'realistic' or something... I don't really like when characters are 'playersexual'- it feels kind of shallow. It made sense to temporarily remove the preferences because of the unbalanced pools last year but if it's fairly balanced this year I see no reason to change it.

I voted make them all bi/pan just because of availability of decor and stuff, since I know a good majority (?) of people (at least those who are fairly experienced in the game) almost always have male leads due to it being more convenient. I know it's sort of a selfish reason but I do want to make sure to collect every item and I couldn't understand a justifiable reason for being held back from that.

I do see there may be concerns about erasure or such now, never thought about that as I'm aro and disinterested in/grossed out by any sort of romance whether gay or straight. Probably just going to use the NPCs as Cool Item Dispensers haha since I never look at any event/explore text to begin with (tfw awful processing of fiction)

Also does the event allow you to set your lead's gender identity or does it just go with male sex=male & female sex=female? Every pack wolf I've had has been agender so wondering if that's an option or if they're stuck as dudes

You get to choose your gender at the beginning of the event regardless of your lead wolf's game-mechanic sex, and that gender is what affects your dating pool. The choices are Male/Female/Nonbinary.

Oh thank you! You probably couldn't change it partway through or have the same lead be a different gender the next year (if you take a break in between) I'd assume? What if you forcefully retired + put in a new lead?
