And yeah, I have a few males I feel like COULD be gorgeous with a little customization but I don't want to spend the GC bc what's the point? |

i see no reason both suggestions can't be implemented in due time! I think for me and for many others, the priority is just being able to make better use of our males than just have them look pretty and gain stats and then die with nothing to show for it haha. But supposing the devs implement the most popular and least controversial option, which is males operate essentially as females with cooldowns and just no heats or pregnancy (e.g., no males besides the breeding male would be able to have more than 11-12 [correct me if im wrong on the math there, i could very well be as im not really sure how old a wolf can be before they can no longer breed] litters in their lifetimes, just like females), i see no reason why the next step couldn't be implementing the "reverse" breeding system from lioden, where females can be put up for stud and such. it would definitely need some deeper thought due to changes in the general game layout, and it doesn't really belong in this thread, as i know people have already mentioned, but i just want to point out that both can easily be done at the same time! i do think, though, that the priority should be on making the males breedable, because it seems that players of all different styles can agree on that and for something to cause so much unanimous upset amongst players so early on in a game is indicative that it probably needs changing edit; also this isn't really directed at anyone specific, just anyone who's been reading/participating in the last few pages |

Oh yeah, I do just hope devs are willing to make a change at all. I feel like there are a thousand suggestions that could improve the current system, but I don't know if devs will want to change anything. There are definitely a lot of people that want a change for a lot of different reasons. |

Yes yes yes!! Fully support. Breeding males within your own pack should be a given. |

Looking at this last page here I can see there's been some. Heavy debate I don't understand, I just wanna say I support this idea. I think maybe the hook could be that Stud males stay the same as they currently are, while the minor males either have limited times they can breed or they have a breeding cooldown. The females in this game do already have one themselves, it wouldn't be out of the question for males that aren't the stud to be the same in order to encourage people to breed their stud but still give them the option to breed a different male! |

Massive boost, especially seeing as how stud value wouldn't likely go down that much since each pack can only have one stud. Also honestly, people are still going to want specific markings and bases so it's not as though the stud market will entirely crash just because people can breed their own male wolves, it may just go down a tiny bit once the base/mark is bred out a lot but that happens already. I do see a lot of people introducing downsides to it such as less stats for non studs or inability to pass mutations but I feel like that again devalues the point of keeping male wolves. Honestly just letting them breed within their own pack isn't such an overly OP thing since you still have to wait on female heats. |

I prefer breeding cool down to male "heats." If its almost impossible to line up the desired male and female heats then it really ruins the lore purposes for breeding within the pack. With a cooldown at least you can line them up yourself. Like for example, if a female's heat is once every twenty rollovers for four rollovers, and a Male's cooldown is 20 rollovers, then you can just wait to breed that male until its the specific female's heat. Even if the non stud male's cooldown is longer, like every 30 rollovers, so long as you can wait until it matches the desired female's heat then its fine. |

Absolutely and fully agree. I think having entire packs of wolves that are female is actually counter-productive to limiting the amount of breeding going on. Take for instance my kennel - I have nearly 100 puppies because I am breeding on every heat with every wolf just hoping that I will get good females so I don't have to sex change the best of the crop because of the lack of use for males. |

Yes please!!! Let us breed within our own packs. It makes me so sad how many people treat male wolves that aren't their one single breeding male like they're worthless :( |

Definitely support! I would love to see other males able to breed or even allow other males to contest the leadership position more often. It's hard having nice male pups but knowing I can only breed them if I change their sex. |
