Allow All Males to Breed within the Pack

Mega support!! I'd love this, the game feels a bit too much like lioden in that matter, and it's much more realistic to have multiple males breed. |

I only just joined to this game, but I actually really like the breeding mechanic the way it is. I see where everyone is coming from- of course you want to be able to more easily breed dream doggos! But coming from other petsites, where breeding is easier and has fewer restrictions and any mated pair can breed whenever, it just is a fast track to making breeding pointless. It oversaturates the game with babies nobody will buy and can't keep and would make it very difficult to keep track of all the legacies going on- which is the point of this game. Making legacies, playing the long game. It seems like there is already an overabundance of puppies nobody will buy and letting all males breed would just exacerbate that problem tenfold. Possibly some of the suggestions to heavily restrict non-stud males would be fine! But a free-for-all sounds like not a good plan to me. |

On the contrary, free breeding or cooldown breeding will encourage people to keep males. More males means fewer females, fewer females means fewer puppies. And overabundance of puppies is a completely unsound argument. |

Support! I would really love to be able to breed some of my other males. (Sorry I don't have much to say, I just really love the idea) |

@Einir Except people have already explained that with less females in a pack there will be less puppies per user. Males are at this point genetically useless so they are either sex changed or chased leaving packs of majority females that are breed every heat. In a pack of 20 wolves (excluding breeding male) the system now encourages 20 litters of puppies a month with an average of 3-4 puppies per wolf. If males were breedable then that pack of 20 wolves could be evenly split 10 males 10 females and that already cuts litters per month by half with only 10 litters a month being created. |

@Einir, All of the points that you mentioned have already been addressed. " of course you want to be able to more easily breed dream doggos! " No, many of us want to pair our wolves for lore purposes, it has nothing to do with breeding. Many more want other males to breed so that they have reasons to keep them in the pack, as well as passing on their beautiful markings and stats, both of which are lost under the current system. "It oversaturates the game with babies nobody will buy and can't keep" |

@Einir: This is why I like the idea of mated pairs as opposed to free breeding, it's a good medium while also being the most realistic. |
