New Feature Idea: Howling Buffs for Friends!

Support! 100% I don't think it should be used within your own pack. it is geared towards bringing the community together and spreading the love. I would absolutely love to do this to random new people! Perhaps those who have anxiety about being social, allow an option for an anonymous howl. |

@Moki an anonymous option would be a nice idea, although it doesn't necessarily prevent quieter and new people from feeling left out. i still think it would be an improvement on the feature to have it within the pack as well (maybe just 1 within the pack and 3 that you can use on other people) but honestly i'm pretty indifferent about the suggestion— if it were implemented as is i wouldn't use it much most likely but i would be happy for whoever wanted it! also just keep in mind that there are plenty of people who don't necessarily have anxiety but are just uncomfortable interacting with strangers online besides necessary things like trades and studdings ^^ but for those people an anonymous howl would be an easy fix :) |

I agree with Nika at preferring in pack over community wide. If anything to me it makes more sense to have more of a connection with your own pack. Right now I honestly barely see my wolves because there's not much reason to go onto their pages. A howling buff to interact with your pack makes more sense to me. In the wild it would be more of a negative thing so the buff makes sense as a protective measure of your pack against outside packs. But honestly it feels like maybe something that should be during a future event rather than as an everyday thing. It seems a little overpowered personally. |

Maybe , to prevent the mass howlings, any wolf can only have one howl a day, no matter who from. |

Huge support i LOVE this idea! I've been thinking about a feature similar to this although it was entirely cosmetic which gives me an idea: Wolves will have a "number of howls" counter which shows the number of howls the wolf has gotten in its life. This can allow for more forum games such as "every 5th howl gets 10SC" BUT this is a bit janky with the buff idea. My solution to this is to allow any number of howls in a day, but a howler's first three are the only that have any effect and the howl-ee can only recieve a set number of howls in a day. For example: -YW: your wolf -W1: wolf 1 with 5 howls recieved -W2: wolf 2 with 0 howls recieved -W3: wolf 3 with 0 howls received Operating under a system of two howl buffs a day, YW howls for W1, W2, and W3 in a day. W1 recieves no buff, and YW does not spend a buff. W2 and W3 both get buffs. YW can no longer buff, but can still howl. YW can only howl at any wolf once a day, meaning YW cannot howl at W1, W2, or W3 more than once |

I 100% support, but I kinda think anybody should be able to Howl at your wolves with a toggle to make it friends only or none at all. And for the people who don't want to set up arrangements and actually talk to people to get a little help, I am 100% sure if this was added people would start "Boost the wolf above you" threads to help each other out. Look at the "Gift the wolf above you" threads, very simple list what you want, send the person above what they want system that could be done for boosting. All you'd really have to do is boost somebody else's wolf (which is nice to do!) and list what wolf you want Howled at. This is, of course, if anybody can Howl at anybody. |

support! what a fun idea!! maybe make an option to opt-out, though, cause as some other people have suggested, it may create a kind of social pressure for some players. |

1. You can't ask for howls, whether it be for free, or paying. But saying "Comment here and I might howl you" would be fine, the same rules that apply for December Gifting pretty much 2. If stat boosts are possible, they are not permanent (gone next day) and they don't apply to breeding. 3. They don't affect breeding cooldowns OR litter sizes |
