Silverbloom "Hey, it's ok, now, you said you wanted to help me with my paw? And I can finally talk to you un-interrupted." She meowed to her friend. Holding out her paw for Moonfeather to see, she asked, "Did you hear anything... strange, while on patrol?" Trying to word this so that she didn't seem suspicious, she wondered how her friend would react. Was Silverbloom hearing things? Why did the others act like they never heard it? Copper Now terrified at what the huge tom might do, Copper yelped in terror once she was picked up so violently. Letting herself go limp, she couldn't help but wonder, what will he do to me? Is this how I join the dead? |

Moonfeather Moonfeather began examining Silverbloom's paw, while answering the question. "Uh, yeah, I did. I ignored it because the others didn't seem to hear it." she said, but her meow was interrupted by Copper's yowl. She got up quickly and gave Silverbloom a worried look. "Copper!" she shouted, and started to run back into the camp. Moonfeather didn't know how she'd be able to stand up to Stagcall, but she couldn't let her leader harm Copper. |

Silverbloom Hearing and running to help Copper at the same time as Moonfeather, she found Stagcall violently dragging Copper to the camp entrance. Blocking his path, now blinded by rage, she let out a low growl to let him know she was there. "What exactly do you think you are doing?" The huge she-cat asked her leader. Ripping Copper from Stagcall's grasp and passing her to Moonfeather behind her and let down her outer shell. Now every cat in the clearing could she her blinding fury. |

Moonfeather Moonfeather held Copper by her scruff and backed away from the two. She admired Silverbloom's fierce personality, even though she hides it under her shell. She set down Copper and stood over her protectively, watching the two.. |

Pigeonfeather Pigeonfeather's eyes narrowed as he raised his head and opened his mouth to draw in the scent even more. He flicked his tail at Kestrelheart to motion for her to accompany him but stay low, and crept forward, setting each paw down with deadly precision so as to avoid rustling any leaves. As he approached the source of the scent, he began to hear rustling in the underbrush, and his heart began to pound. What would they find? The scent, as he drew closer, almost smelled like a rabbit, but a little stranger.. a little more wild, but dustier. Finally, he silently nudged a fern aside with his muzzle and spotted a huge rabbit-like creature, ambling lazily through the undergrowth, pausing to nibble on a stalk now and again. Pigeonfeather blinked in shock. This...thing looked like a warped rabbit, with much longer, pointier ears, huge hind legs, and a longer, leaner body. But it smelled like prey. Pigeonfeather glanced back at Kestrelheart, then streaked forward, catching the not-rabbit by surprise and pinning it beneath his paws. He then looked at Kestrelheart. "Should we kill this? It smells like prey." (What I am describing is a jackrabbit  )

Stagcall Stagcall showed a severely disappointed face towards silverblooms mouse-brained action. The tom just wanted to bring the loner to the border. He couldn't risk the groups safety by allowing a loner in, add another hungry mouth to feed and it doesn't help the fact that prey was already scarce in the area. (Got perms from nox!) |

Silverbloom The huge she-cat, towering over Stagcall, seemed disappointed. "How about thinking of others before you act?" She hissed. "And we are here because of the dogs. Dose my half-blindness and no tail not remind you of that. Or are you as fox-hearted as Rainstrike over there? I've had about enough of this group. And don't even bother following!" She stalked off once she was done speaking. Did no one realise how much it hurt her if the dogs, or the attack were mentioned? Copper Now slightly bleeding and terrified, the spotted apprentice hid behind Moonfeather's paws and watched Silverbloom stalk off, fury consuming her like a wildfire. What would she do? What would Stagcall do? |

Kestrelheart Kestrelheart grinned at Pigeonfeather's motion, and she quickly dropped into a crouch, following him closely through the underbrush as they drew nearer to the creature. She, too, picked up on the rabbit familiarity, but was still somewhat curious as to what it could be. Could it be a loner who had just eaten a rabbit? Her mind was seemingly stuck on the thought of more loners, but she quickly shoved them away. Eyes gleaming, she stared at the creature as soon as it came into view, and they widened at the strangeness and hugeness of the creature. It nearly looked like a cat-sized rabbit! How it didn't hear them with those giant ears baffled her, but she quickly stood up after Pigeonfeather jumped onto it. "Yes! That will feed so many of the ones back in the camp. Be quick, before it gets your head!" She said hurriedly, watching its long back legs begin to flail. She had a feeling that it wouldn't be as simple as a normal rabbit's thump if it managed to hit him. |

Pigeonfeather With one swift movement, Pigeonfeather bent down and bit the back of its neck, finally ending its struggles. As he picked it up in his jaws, his whiskers twitched at how heavy it was. He set it down to say, "You're right! This thing could feed a good couple of adult cats, it's so heavy. Definitely prey, too," he added, swiping his tongue around his mouth to chase the last delicious bits of blood. He raised his head to scent the air. "And there's more around! This whole area smells like them. I wonder where they came from, but thank StarClan...we could definitely use a piece of good luck like this." Pigeonfeather glanced around and said, "It's a shame Moonfeather didn't catch up, but at least we were able to resolve this without any more distractions! And thankfully, it's good news to bring back to Stagcall. I really hope he and that young cat, Copper, are getting on all right..." He paused, then sighed and looked at Kestrelheart. "Oh well, no use in dwelling on it. Ready to head back? Or do you want to catch one for yourself?" |

Moonfeather Moonfeather was about to follow Silverbloom, but thought better of it, she maybe needed to cool down. She still looked down at Copper, wondering what to do with her. "Copper, we need to find somewhere safe for you, since Stagcall doesn't want you." she mewed, her voice quiet. She picked up the young cat, and padded out of the camp. |
