"Want to help me fish?" I asked, pausing as a sour stench flooded my nose. Pelt bristling in fear I took a step back from the water only for sharp teeth to sink into my neck and lift me into the air. Shrieking in fear and pain I spotted a flash of russet fur, choking on blood as I went limp, black dots dancing across my vision. With a last strangled gasp for breath, i slipped into the darkness, breath stilling and heart stopping. |

Nettlepaw's eyes widened as the fox lunged at Shellpaw "No!" she said, her heart pumping with fear. Nettlepaw ran away, knowing she didn't stand a chance, grieving at the lost of her friend. |
