Silentstalk hadn't meant to alert the shecat of her presence but no going back. She narrowed her eyes right back at the deputy, then she flicked her gaze to the twoleg and back to Riverfeather before tilting her head. She hoped that the black shecat got her meaning. Sometimes being born mute was very inconvenient. Her tail lashed back and forth sharply. |

Riverfeather nodded. "Well, it's not like you can tell on me to Shatteredstar," She said. "But if you want an explanation, it's less like treachery and more like a beauty trick. After all, a she cat's got to look her best, and these twolegs do a fine job." |

She rolled her eyes at her deputy. The dig at her muteness was an annoyance, but she brushed it off. And a beauty trick? This just went from strange to bizarre. The black shecat always looked great. Silentstalk didn't see why the feline would need a twoleg to help with that. She was at least satisfied that the deputy wasn't being treacherous and she didn't see a need to tell Shatteredstar. Silentstalk looked at her own slightly ruffed-up pelt. She could probably use a good swim and grooming herself. But she didn't need no twoleg to clean her. |

Dapper had found some of the herbs that they were looking for and so he left Bonesong to find the rest as he headed back towards the camp, his mouth full of leafy stems and such. |

"Speaking of which, you could use a good grooming yourself," Riverfeather mused, inspecting Silentstalk. "But I, you too, should be getting back to camp." She gracefully got to her paws and began walking back. |

She rolled her eyes again but followed Riverfeather back towards camp. At some point, Silentstalk darted off after a squirrel, quickly catching up to it and pouncing on it. Silent gave it a quick killing bite and then took it with her back to camp. |

As Dapper was about to reach the camp entrance, Sikentstalk walked up with a squirrel in her mouth. He waved his tail at her in a friendly greeting. |

Her ear flicked and she waved her tail back at him. She still didn't quite like interacting with a lot of cats. She'd never liked it, but she was still nice to her clan mates. |

Dapper set down his herbs in the medicine den with the apprentices and he then went out to lay in the sun as it was sun high now and he wanted to take a moment before he went out to hunt again. Before Dapper laid down he realized that Silentstalk was shooting annoyed glances at Riverfeather. |

Nettlepaw returned from collecting herbs, she set them out to dry beside Dapperleap's. She followed Dapper's gaze and saw Riverfeather and Silentstalk frowning at each other. How can a mute cat get in a argument with another cat? |
