Within the Cervidae’s heart (ended & closed)

The sun had nearly dropped behind the horizon when Yalaktinos finally came back to his herd with Flaxoris. The bucks were chatting with each other and occasionally even laughing before they bid each other good night parting their ways. Once he was left alone again, Yalaktinos looked around to see what his herd was doing before he went to search a seclude spot still surrounded by the herd and laid down on the grass.

Frost watched the sky knowing she needed to go somewhere other than here, she'd overstayed her welcome already and that was clear. She was going to miss the herd true but when she had allowed herself to stay she hadn't planned on staying so long.well I suppose I could go north towards the mountains she thought

The male looked over the herd again his gaze fixing upon Frost, but only briefly. It seemed that she had fully recovered from the encounter with the flower which was good. He might not care deeply about her, but only the most sinister creatures wished to see other suffering and enjoyed of seeing them in discomfort and distress. She would make a fine mother one day, he was sure of it.

Frosts ear twitched and she looked towards the mountains in the north planning her goodbyes in her head.perhaps she could return here some day or perhaps not she wasn't truly sure. She mostly felt bad for Lilith who likely wouldn't take it well.

Eventually Yalaktinos laid his head down closing his eyes as he waited for the sleep to come. Tomorrow would be an another busy day and one most certainly would need all the rest they could get. Who knew how long the peace would last after all.

Eventually she laid down and Lilith came over and snuggled next to her falling asleep faster than frost could dream of.For awhile she just watched the herd and then at the sky before she to fell asleep.

Once the morning came, Yalaktinos woke up with the sun, but chose not to rush on his feet. Yesterday it had been nice to lay down a little longer, so perhaps he could take it slow this time too. He looked around noticing how the herd was slowly waking up. The stag chuckled softly when one of the newborns shook their body to get the mist of the night out of it. Would he have his own fawns one day? Yalaktinos shook his head to get rid of such thoughts. First he would need a mate and then worry about the other things.

Frost woke and stood noticing lilith still asleep she stood for a moment before turning and walking a few feet away from the herd to eat some grass and gather the strength to say goodbye to Lilith and the others.she lowered her head and started grazing every now and then finding a flower and eating it ears twitching with discomfort

Yalaktinos decided to rose up eventually and shook out his fur. He then noticed Frost alone not that far away and since even Lilith wasn't there, perhaps it was now a good time to talk to her.

"Good morning, Frost," Yalaktinos said once he had made his way to the female. "How are you feeling?" he asked referring to the incident that had happened yesterday.

Frost watched a butterfly land on a flower and chose not to eat that particular flower.pretty she thought then lifted her head as Yalaktinos walked over.

"Good morning" she replied giving him a friendly smile."I'm doing good now thank you, how's your wounds?" She asked giving him a check over partly hoping she could stay a bit longer to care for his wounds a bit more.though she figured he was likely healing fine based on her not very thorough glance.
