Rover chuckled a little. "True. But all of you will learn if you're willing to do so. Besides, I'm pretty sure the only one the Captain wants to strangle is Lydia so you're safe." The last bit was sort of a joke.

Raine looked concerned at the possibility of someone wanting to strangle them, they swallowed hard.

"Sort of. She is kind of a violent woman when you piss her off. Just don't break the ship and you're- oh. that's not..." It hadn't even been half an hour of flying and the ship decided to shudder as an asteroid smacked into Kaiyora's shield. "Well that is my fault," Rover muttered, choosing to ignore the two younger crew to go back to actually flying the ship. Autopilot was a bad idea.

Edwin looked startled. "Wow, the shield held perfectly," Edwin said as he read the magical signature around the ship.

How can you tell? Raine asked, curious.

Edwin looked over to Raine. "Well, I can read magical signatures, and the one around the ship is especially strong so it's easy to read!"

Raine looked at him, in slight awe. Wow..

"It won't stay that way for long. Edwin, go find the Captain and make sure she doesn't get too badly hurt. Raine, stay here. There are things you can do to help me." The old woman's orders were spoken firmly but gently. She didn't want to panic either of the kids.

Edwin nodded, then got up and left, going to find the captain, which was easy since he could read her magic.

Raine saw him leave and looked at Rover, wondering what they could even do.
