Asterion nodded and gave a short bow in the show of being well mannered, "Don't suppose either of you know anything about these worms?" his hands graced his hips briefly before gesturing to the two of them curiously.

Ulke hadnt really taken much thought to it, he supposed they'd have killed them somehow but it hadn't happened yet...

"Unfortunately. If we can't find a way to remove these tadpoles, they'll turn us into mind flayers." Caesy says. It was the only logical conclusion she could come to... why else would the illithids gather them all here on this ship if not because they were meant to play host to the next generation of mind flayers?

"Though it hasn't happened yet... so maybe we still have a chance." She mutters. It was a small spark of hope that perhaps they might have time to figure something out. But it was hope nonetheless and what better option did they have than to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and try to figure this out?

She for one certainly didn't relish the idea of such an unfortunate fate as becoming a mind flayer. To the best of her knowledge, all trace of the person a mind flayer once was would be gone after the transformation save for hints of their personality. She had no recollection of the person she once was as things stood... there was so little of her left. But she didn't want to lose that too.
