Halloween Event!

No worries, you're making sense! I can't really say more until we have more info on all the possible choices/a list of branching paths. I'm assuming the first asterisk choice determines whether or not you can get the Saligia decor, as it seems like you have to stick with the witches the whole time for that? But looking at Dżanek's saga, I'm not sure haha.

Regardless, I'm still fine with how things shook out. I like the surprise rewards, and I like how one reward needed an extremely specific path to get. I thought it was clear that the asterisks were a "Pick who you're siding with" indicator, but I acknowledge that it was confusing for people, and again I'd like to see a full overview of the paths before commenting more on that.

Edit: Just saw Your edit and I gotta say: huh

I can confirm that following Kora's path the entire time, up until today, does not stop you from getting Saligia or the "group" decor at the end.

But you have to betray Kora, and the option does not have an asterisk at first.

The amount of bugs, flat out broken features, huge inconsistencies in the story, unclear options, and hardly any extra ME rewarded to make up for the ones who were getting it when they weren't supposed to, really really made me dislike this event. By far the worst one in functionality they've ever rolled out.
That said, the core story was pretty interesting, and the art as always was lovely.

I think if they really focus on fixing the vast amount of everything wrong with it, next year it could have the potential to be one of the better events. But man, there is a LOT to fix.

It seems player who chose kora line get extra 50ME reward, maybe for the Initially unbalanced lines.

@MʏsteʀʏYan₪玄妙 Ya, I was expecting a bit more considering it how badly unbalanced they were. Speaking for myself it took me 1 & a half-ish days (first day the quest was out & until right before it was changed the next day) to complete the healing quest & I was one of the lucky few who was able to finish it when it was 10 not 3. Peeps who stuck with the witches were done in a few hours, if it even took them that long & were able to pretty much mass farm ME if they wanted to until that got fixed.

In regards to the 'well it was asterisked' discourse -- my problem with the asterisks is that, on Lioden, sometimes all they mean is 'this will get you extra dialogue'.

For example, in the LD May event, you can tell V'kai: 'I think that's a load of bollocks! *' -or- 'Impossible! You're so much younger?!'

All that the asterisked first choice does is give you an extra dialogue box with V'kai. It doesn't switch your side, or dramatically alter your storyline turnout in any way.

So, when I saw the asterisked choice for Kora, I naturally assumed it would be like this as well: some extra dialogue, and then you can still make a choice/confirm sides after hearing her out....however, this wasn't the case, and I was immediately locked into doing Kora's quest for the next chapter.

So for someone who started on Lioden (which is probably a lot of Wolvden players, since LD came first), the lack of consistency of what exactly an asterisk means in a quest context made things even more muddled as a result.

[p.s.- also, from what Miso posted above, there were possibly some endgame choices that were not asterisked that might have switched alignment as well? so even inconsistency within the quest as to what they meant or didn't mean as well, if that is the case...]

Totally agreed, but at least there're some extra reward rather than nothing.

It's just my personal feeling that I feel like they should give a clear hint before the player is completely locked into one side of an ending, as with the storyline of the LD's July event mentioned above.

I feel like the officials were deliberately designing this, and they did a lot of branching, and it felt like they wanted to give players a chance to regret it. But I have to say that because of this, when everyone is playing this storyline for the first time, many people accidentally choose a line that they don't want to follow.
