Pebblepaw (F) | Med Cat App | Location: RainClan Territory | Mentions: Sky Eyes

Secretly disappointed to be returning to camp, Pebblepaw picked up her bundle of chervil roots before silently stalking after her mentor. She was lost in her own thoughts, trying to recall every bit of detail in the lessons that Skyeyes had taught her that morning, only to be taken by surprise when he abruptly glanced back. Something seemed wrong. She couldn't resist flinching in alarm at the jerkiness of his movements, shifting uneasily. Were they being followed? Pebblepaw glanced over her shoulder as well, but could see no cat pursuing them.

"Are you ok, mister Skyeyes?" The silver tabby asked hesitantly, eyeing her mentor in a concerned fashion before scuttling along after him. Maybe it wasn't her place to prod, being that she was but an untalented apprentice, but her considerate nature urged her to check in on the flame point tom nonetheless. Like it or not, Skyeyes was stuck with her now.

He seemed to be moving a bit faster. Pebblepaw swallowed nervously before picking up her pace slightly, once more glancing over her shoulder to ensure that they weren't being followed.

Murtagh (M) | Rogue | Location: Forest | Mentions: Raven

The stranger seemed to have relaxed already, which comforted the lynx point tom as well. Not that he was particularly concerned about a fight- he was a perfectly capable combatant, even if he wasn't physically a rock. His sure-footedness served him well, and his confidence only added to his abilities. A doubtful cat could never hold themselves well in anything. Mindset played an important role in everyday life, even if the concept was frequently forgotten.

Yet, her sudden explosion of excitement had him taken aback. Murtagh seemed to visibly recoil, raising a brow (so to speak) when the black-furred feline exhibited her excitement over RainClan. "My- you're quite the fan, aren't you? Now, now...don't go feeding their ego anymore." The tom humored her with yet another twitch of his silvered whiskers before he worked his claws into the bark of his branch. "Yes, RainClan is the only clan around. I've definitely met them my fair share of times- I like to chat up their patrols, although I don't think they much appreciate my nonsense. Being a loner is...lonely. Some of their members are about as prickly as a porcupine, but other RainClanners can make pleasant company. It's just a hit or miss." He paused. Where were his manners?

"...My name's Murtagh, by the way. Don't mind my opinionated ways- I'm just a young cat whose stuck in his ways like a flea-ridden elder."

(@20mia08 Pebblepaw can share the vision or not, up to you ^^)

.::Skyeyes::.

Mentions: Pebblepaw

"Huh?" he muttered around the coltsfoot, "Oh, I'm alright. I'm sorry to worry you, Pebblepaw." He kept moving as they talked, eyes darting across the forest occasionally.

"I thought I heard something... I think tonight we'll visit the Starlight pool. StarClan may be trying to communicate with us." He set the coltsfoot carefully down as they reached the blackberries. With the usual muscle memory nips, he pulled out a healthy bunch of fresh leaves and added them to his small pile. Struggling a bit more, he picked them all up and turned directly towards the waterfall. The distant sound of the tumbling water began to reach his ears and he slowed his pace, relaxing a bit.

When the rushing water finally came into view, Skyeyes stopped dead in his tracks. His vision blurred and then refocused. He saw dozens of cats leaping joyfully from the waterfall into the river below. They seemed to be made entirely of water, no markings on their shimmering pelts. They swam and played, more and more cats seeming to appear even from under the water. But slowly the waterfall became smaller and smaller, fewer cats cascading down. The water cats below began to swim away, the numbers dwindling until the flow was gone. Amongst the still slippery pebbles and sand was one remaining cat, his own mentor. Snowshine's white pelt shimmered like stars rather than water. His golden eyes met his former apprentices as rain began to trickle.

"RainClan must grow from beyond its borders, or risk drying up forever."

A drop of rain hit Skyeyes on the forehead and he blinked. Suddenly everything was back to normal, the waterfall thundering down as strongly as it always had, no cats but himself and Pebblepaw to be seen.

"Dear StarClan, let Hopestar be back soon."

Mentions: Murtagh

The she-cat listened with unwavering intensity. She understood feeling alone. Until she had set out to find the clan, she had never been far from her mother and father. It was quite strange to have to watch her back, unable to trust just any cat she encounter--this seeming to be an exception. She dipped her head and lowered her ears, a bit embarrassed.

"Sorry, I've just heard so much about the clans, it's somehow hard to believe any of it was real." she replied. "I'm Raven. It's quite the pleasure to meet you."

A purr crept into her tone, realizing she was relieved to meet a friendly cat so far from home.

"I understand how you feel. As a recent loner myself, it gets a bit monotonous out on your own."

Tansyvine ~Warrior~ Tag: Thistlepaw Mentions: Patrol, Other Rogues
Tansyvine was beginning to feel like there were quite a few more cats then just her and her clanmates could handle. How did they all manage to stay around here without them knowing?! Was the clan really that worse off? She paused and was brought back by Shadheart's words, "Oh- yes sure." she responded. With a flick of her tail she gestured Thistlepaw to come closer and she went to stand next to the charcoal tom. She gave him a wary smile but tried to make sure nothing happened to her clanmates.

River || Tom || 23 moons || Rogue || Mentions: The Patrol, Smokey, Cosmos || Tags: Chipper, Hopestar ||

"Oh! So your that group of cats those rogues were talking about!" he said in a excited tone. "I was wondering if those rumors were true-... Wait... What's a clan?" he asked with a tilt of his head. He had never heard of a "Clan" before... Was it like a family name or a friend group name...? Were theses all like her mates or something? Cause he's seen that before. He turned his head to Chipper whispering "Hey.. You know what a "clan" is?". To be honest River was somewhat embarrassed not having this knowledge. Was it something completely new.

So... What now... Seems they are angry River and theses rogues are trespassing on random land... He didn't smell any thing like markings around here... Then again River rarely checks for scents since he doesn't really care for scents or angry cats. "So... Why do you still sound upset Madame? I mean me and Chipper here aren't being aggressive. We're just cats trying to check on you all to make sure everything is alright." he says. River's curiosity seemed to take hold of his thoughts as he was curious now of what this "clan" was. Plus he found it quite rude theses cats were still agitated to him and Chipper. Sure Chipper was staring at them but he guessed that Chipper just does that. "If you think we are gonna attack you and your company I can assure you that as long as you don't attack me, i won't attack you." he said before thinking out load, "Then again if you did attack me i would merely dodge cause attacking you would be a waste of energy".

Kestrelheart {} Female {} Warrior
|:| Mentions: Weepingpaw |:|

The she-cat listened to her apprentice calmly, flicking her ears to and fro slowly.
"Training? Let me think... Oh, I don't know..." She looked up to the sky, a small grin spreading on her face. "...It's so awfully hard to choose which kind of training to do today, young Weepingpaw..."
She looked back down at her apprentice, holding back a chuckle. This was Kestrelheart's interesting way of asking her what kind of training she wanted to do today. Hunting, patrolling, fighting... it was all up to her. She just had to figure out that she was asking.
Pacing around her apprentice slowly, the she-cat waved her tail around, her whiskers twitching. "Of course, we don't have to train if you can't think of anything," She added, her eyes seeming to constantly change color as she moved from the shadows to the light over and over again. Finally, sitting down in a ray of sunlight, she tilted her head slightly, eyeing her apprentice with her cerulean hues. "What will it be, Weepingpaw?"

Halfpaw {} Nonbinary {} Apprentice
|:| Mentions: N/A |:|

Blinking harshly as they met the sun, a black-and-white coated feline stuck its head out of the Apprentice's Den, trotting out quickly. Their pupils dilated and grew until they finally adjusted to the light filtering into the camp.
Halfpaw looked down at their mitts, shaking one as they stepped in a clump of dewy greenery. Taking in the camp, it became apparent to Halfpaw that they had woken up later than the rest of the clan. It looked like quite a few cats were already gone, be it hunting or patrolling, or even training their apprentices.
Gazing around with soft eyes, they noticed that they did not see their mentor. They had probably gone out already. However, he did see Kestrelheart talking to Weepingpaw, probably teasing her with her unsenseful words.
With a sigh, Halfpaw padded over to a sunny rock. They laid themself onto it, the warmth ceasing their slight shivering. It was there that they began to groom themself.

((Alright, I'll have her see some of it as well))

Pebblepaw (F) | Med Cat App | Location: RainClan Territory/Camp | Mentions: Sky Eyes, Unnamed spirits

Her eyes seemed to light up when her mentor mentioned finally having an opportunity to speak with StarClan. She had feared that her treasured ancestors had given up on her, since Pebblepaw was yet to receive an omen or speak with an ancestor herself. The tabby's whiskers briefly quivered in excitement before she plodded after Skyeyes, only to quietly remind herself that not all omens were good.

The apprentice allowed her gaze to travel towards the waterfall, to admire it once more before they slipped back into the dreary darkness of camp. However, something appeared to be off about the cascading waters. It did not flow so perfectly like it had before, only for Pebblepaw to notice that it was taking shape. Faintly transparent felines played among the waters before the lifeline that was the waterfall slowly began to feed them no more. The tiny she-cat held her breath as the cats began to vanish along with the water, before a starry figure had stepped forward.

"RainClan must grow from beyond its borders, or risk drying up forever."

Her eyes were as round as moons. What did the strange messenger mean, "dry up forever"? With a concerned glow to her amber pools, Pebblepaw anxiously returned her attention to the waterfall, only to notice that the thundering water had returned, and no strange cats played among the shores. "...Are we going to die, Skyeyes?"

----

Murtagh (M) | Rogue | Location: Forest | Mentions: Raven

He dipped his head politely to return her kind greeting before he curled his tabby'd tail curiously. "Only a loner as of recently? Were you a kittypet before?" The tom belived that being born away from twolegs or away from the clans meant that you were born a loner, through and through. He'd been by himself since day one, until he joined the traveling clowder of loners. The silver tom shifted uneasily at the thought, resentfully pushing away the dark memories. "...You aren't from around these parts, are you?" He mused, taking note of her lack of information on RainClan.

Raven's comment on the lonesome outsider life, combined with her strong interest in the residential clan, made her intentions clear. "...You're fixing to join them, aren't you?" Not that it wouldn't come as a surprise- Murtagh was young himself, but this cat appeared to be even younger than he was. While he managed to remain strong as an outsider for his entire life, he knew that such a lifestyle could be anything but fruitful. It wasn't meant for everyone. A clan had everything a young cat could desire: safety, steady meals, and plenty of company on those rainy days. "You wouldn't be the only one. Quite a few loners are keen on them- but as I said before, some of RainClan is...dubious. Cynical, even. Not all of them exactly like our kind."

He had risen to his paws once more before skillfully snaking down the tree to stand on the branch with her. "...But if you can catch the right patrol, you might be in luck. And you're looking at the charismatic fellow that could help you find said patrol. I've been around enough RainClan cats to know which are the good ones, and which are the bad."

Moon - Rogue - Tags: The patrol, River, Shadeheart

Tansyvine and Thistlepaw? Interesting names! Moon watched the other cats with interest, and glanced at one of toms who began speaking. Clan...? What’s that? Probably against her best interest (these cats were still unknown to her, and could attack if provoked) she asked, “What is a clan?” Oh! Here!” Moon nudged the rabbit forwards, towards the black tom with grey spots that kept looking at her. “Um, I smelled a large group of cats in the area, and I guess it was you guys. I caught this and I’m going to give it to you in the hopes of being friends or allies?”

Maplefur - Elder - Tags: Hopestar, rogues

It took a while but Maplefur finally made it to where the patrol was. His fur bristled as he saw the three unfamiliar faces. He didn’t really like strangers. He turned to address his russet furred leader. “Hopestar, what’s going on? I was collecting trinkets to decorate the dens with when I heard yowls and a loud commotion.”

.::Skyeyes::.

Mentions: Pebblepaw

"No, I don't think that's what it meant," Skyeyes replied in a soothing tone, "although we might need to take some risks in the coming months."

He loped towards the cave entrance and slipped past the waterfall. He glanced around the camp, seeing a few cats still inside but no sign of the ruddy coat of the leader. His tail tip flicked continually out of anxiety as he continued into the medicine den and set down the herbs.

"We can prepare these later," he meowed to Pebblepaw, "If you're hungry, you can go get something from the fresh-kill pile."

Mentions: Murtagh

"No," she shook her head, "I grew up in nofur territory, but I never lived in one of their nests. Some of them tried to offer me food, but I didn't trust it." She began to absently knead the tree branch below her, assuring herself of her grip as the wind picked up around them. She pricked her ears in surprise at the mention of joining the clan's ranks.

"Could I? I mean, I suppose I never really thought of what I'd do if I really found them... Being a part of something larger like that doesn't sound so bad, though." She tilted her head in interest hearing about the other loners. She wondered how big this clan must be. It began to sound intimidating. She started purring again at Murtagh's offer.

"Would you really? That's very kind of you."

Halfpaw {} Nonbinary {} Apprentice
|:| Mentions: Skyeyes & Pebblepaw |:|

Halfpaw put down their paw they were grooming as he noticed the medicine cat and his apprentice loping into the camp. Something seemed off, as he could see Skyeyes was obviously looking for someone, and Pebblepaw looked quite worried.
Did they see a predator or something? Maybe an omen, or whatever they call those foresights? They wondered.
Hopping off of their rock, the feline padded towards Skyeyes. As they got closer, they saw the anxious flicking of the tom's tail. Flicking their ears sideways with uncertainty, Halfpaw nudged a rock with a paw, thinking for a bit before closing the distance between them and the medicine cat.
"Skyeyes... is everything alright? You and Pebblepaw look as if you saw something ghastly. Do I need to seek Hopestar for you, if it is official business? I know if you saw something... it is your right to tell the leader first."
Halfpaw looked up at him, awaiting an answer.

Shadeheart || Warrior || Tag: Patrol, Rogues, Maplefur

Shadeheart gave Tansyvine a small nod when she and Thistlepaw came to take his place, moving over towards Hopestar as he brushed his tail against her side to let her know he was there. His attention moved from the tom speaking towards the younger rogue as she spoke, offering a rabbit she had apparently caught and claimed she had smelled them and wanted to give said rabbit to them in exchange of being friends or allies. Oh goodness...

However, his attention then moved over towards another feline joining the fray, Maplefur. His ear twitched as he listened to him before he glanced over his shoulder towards the two rogues being guarded by Tansyvine and Thistlepaw before he looked back towards the elder. "We just came across some trespassers and one of them decided to get rowdy." He spoke up, gesturing with his tail towards the duo that sat with Tansyvine and Thistlepaw. "But then these two toms showed up and now we have this young one here as well." He added, a quick gesture with his paw towards the two males and then the young female before he set it on the ground.

He turned his gaze towards the younger rogue once more, glancing briefly at Hopestar before looking at her once again. "You did a fine job at catching that rabbit..." He spoke up, lowering his voice to be a bit gentle but still in his current serious aspect. "However, you could have gotten yourself hurt approaching a large group of cats that could have attacked outsiders. Especially when their home is trespassed by strangers."
