Posted 2024-10-19 15:59:47 #1306408 In case you didn't catch it in Wolvden's 4th Anniversary News Post, we got this unfortunate news: There are a wonderful variety of these decors, to the point that I'm sure most players have at least one they really enjoy! And now they aren't available at all? I, personally, missed the first anniversary, so i do not have the Fall set. Which greatly disappoints me as I love the cute Tala decor it came with. Plenty of other players missed other anniversaries or just didn't have an account at that time. I know players who like to have a copy of every item in game at its full uses, so they would be unable to use the sets they have now. What happens to players who join the 24th of October this year and later? Due to the account bound nature of these items, they would never have a chance to enjoy any of these decors. And account bound means account bound. You cannot trade them, you cannot gift them, you cannot apply them to a visiting travelling wolf, you cannot apply them to a travelling wolf and send them elsewhere, you cannot apply them to a wolf and put that wolf into a trade for someone else. These decors will never leave your account. So if you missed out on them, you wouldn't be able to get them from other players, even if those players didn't want them in the first place. And these decors are finite. They have 10 uses, up from the default 5 of most decors and backgrounds, but once you use those 10 uses, you will never be able to have them again. I want to post this suggestion to implore the Devs to reconsider locking these decors away forever. I know some people have had suggestions of moving them elsewhere, maybe behind total login rewards, but I think recycling them every anniversary (maybe as a "choose your own" bundle from now on?) would keep the spirit of the decors and still allow all players to enjoy them when they roll back around. I'm sure adding a new decor here and there would be appreciated, but personally I'm not even concerned about that. I just want to be able to enjoy decors I may have missed on while celebrating these future milestones in Wolvden's timeline, and I'd love for other players to be able to do the same.	💀 Maladi idalaM 💀 #1568

I would love to have some of the BG I missed due to joining late. It's upsetting enough to not be able to buy them, and it's extremely upsetting to be told there's no chance I ever will.

i hope they will consider not just bringing it back, but possibly expanding the sets. some sets had more items than others, and it could also give incentive to release the sets again instead of something entirely brand new.

the anniversary decors are GORGEOUS, but unfortunately i tend to lean toward more natural decor that doesn't cover my wolves marks much, and the anni decor is very vibrant and very enveloping (beautiful, but not my style :c)

it would make me SO happy to be able to pass these decors off to someone who really wants them and would utilize them, opposed to me who has many anni decors rotting in my hoard :(
i feel so bad every time i come across them (and even worse to think about burying them away to avoid the guilt trip whenever i see them in my hoard LOL)

i absolutely support because i'd love to hand these beautiful pieces off to someone who would appreciate them better than i can! such amazing art shouldn't go to waste, so yes, def support!

YES! If they returned, I would feel like I could actually use them. As things are now, they will lay on my account, never used, because of the finite nature of them.

I'm also in favor of not robbing newer players of the chance to gather these gorgeous items.

(Fall set is my personal favorite, but they all are gorgeous.)

I know lots of people who have been simply not aware of WD or on hiatus for personal reasons during the past gifts - it does seem unfair to take away their chance of ever obtaining the decor.

I don't really understand why the anniversary decors are the way they are. Like, they're not coming back, but they also have uses and will disappear if you use them too much? Lose lose. Now I'm never going to use the ones I have because they can just permanently(!) disappear.
I've only got the winter and current set and I'm bummed that I can't get the others, but I can also see the appeal of bragging-rights decor to show off that you've been playing the game for awhile, so at the very least it would be nice to have unlimited uses. And otherwise of course I wouldn't complain if I could get my hands on the sets I missed, either by removing that they're account bound or by having them return.

I only joined the site this year, and while this set is nice... I would have loved the opportunity to get one of the other sets.
And as others have said, the thought of using these up and losing them forever makes me want to not use them at all. 🙃
