Tripp's expression fell totally blank. They didn't say anything for a long while, and when they did it wasn't very polite.

"FuuuuuuuUUuUck."

They stepped in a circle, like they were pacing without actually moving anywhere, or like they were stuck in an idle animation.

"Tripp, to be honest, I'll still be your friend." He said softly. "But this just reminded me and my father." He sighs his gaze softens. "I'm sorry, I had to have this conversation with you." He looks away and sniffed.

Tripp didn't reply at all this time. They just turned away from Silver. They curled up in the far corner of the cave, facing the wall, and leaned their head down to gnaw rather aggressively on a branch by their paws like a stress ball.

The female had wandered off to the tundra. It was surprisingly close, but she had to traverse a mountain to get there quickly. Something about the snow, the cold, calmed her. It was as if peace and death had agreed on the same spot. Noting moved, yet death could be lurking.

"Tripp?" He asks sniffing. "I'm very sorry, it was really hard for me to talk about this, I want you to promise to help others when you see them in need, that's what I promised my mother when I was talking to her recently." His eyes started to water. "I can't live like my father, that's why I had this conversation with you." He placed a soft paw on her back. "I'm very sorry." He turned and walked out of the cave sobbing.
