Zeljka was really taken back when the male started to speak once more. It was horrible what had happened to him, however, she couldn't understand why the male was speaking about something like this to her? Wasn't it... too personal to be sharing something like this with a complete stranger? Meanwhile Zeljka still felt scared and uncomfortable about the whole situation, her heart ached for the male. It must have been really painful for him to go through something like that. She could smell the other scent moving further away from them and that caught her curiosity. She really wanted to know who had been the one who owned that scent.

The male's story made Zeljka think about her own painful past. She lowered her head a little and closed her eyes for a moment forcing the memories to the furthest corner in her mind in order not to cry. She wasn't going to cry in front of a stranger. Besides, did she really even have tears left anymore? She had cried so much during the past year that she feared that she wasn't able to cry anymore even though she wanted to.

"I'm sorry for your loss and it's horrible what has happened to you," Zeljka whispered her voice very faint and soft, but she still didn't move closer to the male.

Drez continued his silent retreat from the unfamiliar scents, he pondered how close they had been but knew he had kept quite the distance if he wasn't able to see them, nor be detected in any shape or form other than the feint scent his being left behind.

He didn't belong anywhere nor had a territory to call his own but felt it was best this way, his past never allowed him to be comfortable in the same place for too long; every fiber of his being was tense and filled with anxiety that he couldn't control. If he hadn't known better Drez would have believed he was born this way: a broken anxiety filled mess who never once smiled in his life. With his head lowered the blond canid sniffed the earth beneath him to ensure he was alone, to convince himself he was safe but his mind would always say otherwise. He learnt to focus on his sense of smell rather then his ears to keep himself grounded; currently he sought the sweet scent of the various flowers and herbs whilst being weary of the world around him.

Longfang looks up at her. "Thank you, it was hard and still is, I need some help to get me through this. I also know you don't trust me, I only snapped at you, because you scared me." He shook his whole body. "I'm pretty hungry, and I want to hunt." He said. "Want to join me, or hunt separately?" He asks. He waited for her answer. "I am usually shy, but I know we haven't warmed up to each other yet, but i think it should be better if it's soon rather then later."

Zeljka's ears pressed flat against her skull as her eyes widened. Her tail was pressed even tighter against her rump as the female started to shake. Her scent of fear and terror smelt strongly in the air as she took few more steps back. She wasn't hungry at all besides she felt absolutely terrified going somewhere with a stranger. Those words, they had triggered something inside her. It was a past trauma that she really didn't want to relive and wished she could forget. She kept her gaze on the male as she backed away even more feeling like a terrified prey in front of him. She could feel her heart beating so fast that she was afraid that it would jump out of her chest.

"I...I d-don't k-know y-you..." Zeljka whispered her voice shaky as she took an another step back. She was really tense and both her body and mind wanted nothing more than to run away at lighting speed. She knew that she was able to outrun the most, if she ran at her full speed. That gift she had inherited from her parents. However, something was still holding her back; she was terrified just to bolt away. What if she would anger the other by doing so? What if they would choose to run her down and attack her and drag her to wherever they wanted to take her?

"W-why would you want to be around the Angel of Death?" Zeljka asked her eyes wide. She was holding one of her paws up again, but was constantly glancing around to make sure that she wasn't cornered. That was her greatest fear, to be trapped. However, as the female kept backing away, she soon felt that she had hit something and winced softly while worry flashed across her face quickly. She had hit a big rock behind her, there was no way she could keep backing away now. With wide eyes she started at the wolf fearing what might happen next.

A strong, but soothing, scent filled the male's lungs. Drez wasn't certain what the herb was but it smelled faintly of lemon, a stark contrast of rote which he had grown accustomed of growing up. His eyes closed tightly as his mind raced, pondering if he was worthy of such pleasantries. Drez's entire life was filled with hardship and thoughts that refuse to flee, with each waking moment he felt suffocated by the very air he breathed with a deep sense of melancholy in which he wasn't certain of the source. One is meant to enjoy the life they have, to be grateful of the body that ensures their existence but how can do so when they hate the very thing they are? He never wanted to be this way; to have an eye that doesn't function or a mouth that is torn halfway, but how could one never wake when they fought so hard to breath?

"….damnit…I need to stop these thoughts…"
Drez grunted to himself, his voice deep but hushed, a whisper even when speaking to himself. With a firm jerk of the head his sole working eye was scanning the area closely despite the lack of threats. He couldn't help it, the few times his parents heard him speaking it led to another regret, another scar upon his mingled hide. Perhaps the worst part of it was Drez knew they are no longer a threat to him but he still feared making a sound, allowing his voice to be heard. A soft breeze ruffled his damp pelt but even so he kept still and cautious as if fearing they would emerged from the very earth that had swallowed them and come for him. They loved to torment him and more so his ebony thoughts; tears threatened to escaped his eyes but he refused to allow them, what if someone could smell his bloody tears? Such question as unlikely it was, served it's purpose of keeping the tears from falling.

Longfang looked taken back. "Was it something I said?" He gasped taking a step back. "Please help me figure this out." He said his eyes wide. He moved over to his left opening the way out. "I'm not going to hurt you." He laid down. "I can't help but look aggresive, my size and long fangs, where I get my name from. Are out of proportion." He sighs and lowers his tail and sighs. "I have no one to call a friend." He whispers, his voice choking on sobs. He curled up and placed his tail over his nose. His shoulders heaving with quit sobs. He tried to stop but it came faster and harder. A tear ran down his snout and unto the dirt, making a little mud spot. He kept crying and the spot became a small puddle in a short time. He softly stood and wiped a paw over his eyes. "I'm sorry, I just want a friend." He shook himself. "I don't want to be alone anymore." He turns and walks sadly away with his tail between his legs. He took a couple steps and looks back. "I'm sorry to cry, but I couldn't help it." He then continued walking away.

The female looked at the wolf and slowly the fear started to let go of her mind a little bit. She observed his movements closely not daring to trust into his words as she had been betrayed before. However, seeing and hearing him crying moved something inside of her. She felt bad about causing him to cry, it felt like all she could do was always to bring misfortune and pain for others. She wanted that to change, she didn't want to be the Angel of Death who tormented everyone. However, that was the name that had been given to her by one who was supposed to save her and take care of her.

"I... I didn't mean to hurt you, I'm sorry..." Zeljka called after him softly when she saw him walking away. She didn't want to be alone either, oh how she yearned to be with someone, to be close to someone, to feel protected and safe. Sadly, she was too terrified to be around others or even allow them to get close enough to be near her. She was scared and terrified that the past would repeat itself, but at the same time she yearned for company.

Zeljka could feel hopelessness taking over her body and she almost felt her heart being torn in pieces again. Her tail slowly uncurled itself from between her legs as she lowered her head in defeat. She had managed to chase yet another canine away from her. Why couldn't she ever do anything right? Defeated, Zeljka turned and took few steps away from the scene before she noticed a bush. It was bare from leaves, but instead the branches were covered in thorns. The bush was also quite big. Crying without any shed tears, Zeljka made her way to the bush before she lowered her body and crawled into the bush curling up as tiny ball as she could. At least the thorns could protect her and she didn't care about the pain that the thorns caused to her body. It didn't matter, nothing did matter. She was a monster that no one wanted, a ghost that was supposed to roam alone.

With deep, shaky breaths Dez managed to keep himself grounded, for now, but fate had always been unpredictable. He did his best to focus on the present, what he felt touching his scarred flesh or smelled yet it doesn't help with his canine senses he was able to detect the scent of others from a distance. He had to remind himself that not all he sensed were out to get him and even if one had picked up his scent weren't trying to tear his throat out. Sadly it was the opposite when he was younger, 'How long has it been? Years? And yet I am still facing the demons of my past?', the thoughts came somberly upon the realization but perhaps he hadn't improved as mentally well he had hoped. 'It's okay though…I..am still breathing….that..alone is an achievement in itself..right?', he tried to lift his self-loathing thoughts, to remind himself that he was doing the best he could but when one is unable to converse with another being to share his thoughts it made it only more difficult.

The canid tried in the past yet so few wolves were willing to even look him in the eye, causing his deepest insecurities to resurface once more.
"…I best move around at least…my fur is still wet…"
With a soft exhale Drez forced himself to speak once more even if just to himself as he slowly padded his way though the area, inhaling the scent of various herbs as his left, milky blue eye seemed to shine in the sun's rays. His head lowered and ears alert for anything that may come his way.

Longfang sighs and turned around as she spoke. "It's alright, just seeing you scared startled me." He said. "I'm sorry to scare you." He looks around. "Um, what shall we do?" He asked. "I still don't know your name, I said my name is longfang. I'm just worried about everything, even on my own survival." He glanced to his left. "I want to know you more and why you are here." He walks up until he was at a comfortable distance away. "I'm so sorry about what I said. I just want to have another friend, that I can call a true friend." He laid down. "I'm sorry if it seems like I was rejecting you, but I wasn't. I can see in your eyes that you are fearful and hard to get trust." He said. "If I'm intruding on something, just let  me know." He smiles softly. "I can also see in your eyes that you're upset on what I did. I want to trust you, because I had enough time alone." He noticed the bush. "That's smart, using the bush as a shield." He nods his head softly. "I want to have someone and someone to trust." He sighs and lays his head on his paws. "I just want to trust someone..." he lets his voice trail off as he fell asleep.

Hearing the other canine to speak startled Zeljka so that she almost forgot that she was actually beneath thorned branches. Hadn't he left after all? She could have sworn that he had been walking away. Whatever Zeljka might have been expecting, it certainly wasn't for the other canine to come back and interact with her. Turning her head slightly, Zeljka looked at the male. She remembered his name well, but she indeed hadn't shared her own and didn't feel comfortable about doing so even now. Her body tensed slightly when he got closer, but she didn't escape... yet. She knew that the other was curious about her, but there wasn't a chance that she would be revealing her secrets anytime soon. She didn't trust the male at all, to her his friendliness and openness were truly alarming and frightening, who knew what kind of plot he was forming in his mind for her doom.

When the male started to tell her what he had seen from her eyes, Zeljka pulled her ears back until they were one with her white neck scruff. Why was he analyzing her? She couldn't understand and what she didn't understand, it scared her.

"Why would you trust an angel doomed to bring nothing but misfortune?" Zeljka whispered looking at the male. She wasn't smiling, but her face didn't show hostility either. Her expression was rather neutral, but no one knew what pain the young female was carrying deep inside of her heart. She listened him telling her about his wants quietly and while she listened, Zeljka started to ponder what her own wants in life would be. The white Borzoi had to admit that she honestly didn't know. She didn't know what she would want or what she was even allowed to get. In Zeljka's book she didn't deserve anything, that was what had been taught to her since the very young age and due to it she didn't even know how to ask for something or want anything.

Zeljka observed the male silently as he fell asleep and decided to wait just a bit longer. After she was sure that he was truly sleeping deeply, she crawled out of the bush making sure to move as quietly as she possibly could, careful of not making even the most faintest sound. Once she had gotten free from the bush, Zeljka bolted.

She allowed adrenaline fill her every muscle and cell as her paws beat the ground softly. For anyone who might have seen her, it would be clear that the female was born to run. Her body held both strength and endurance as well as agility and speed causing her running seem effortless, meanwhile the dog herself seemed almost weightless. Zeljka didn't know where she was running and at this point she didn't even care. All she knew was that running was what truly brought her freedom. She had always loved the feeling of the wind playing with her long fur and she had to admit that she had truly missed the feeling of for once being truly free. Running made one to easily forget their worries and brought peace for the troubled mind. She could run for hours, if nothing stopped her and that was her wish. Run on the fields and through the forests allowing her paws to take her wherever they wanted to take her.

However, unknown to Zeljka, she was heading right towards the scent that she had found rather interesting earlier. The female was too focused on enjoying her rare moment of freedom to truly notice that.
