How do genetics work?

How do genetics work?

Specifically, albinism? I want to breed albinos and recently bred two carriers, but I'm not sure what to do from here. Do I breed them with each other (not related) to get an albino or breed both to an albino for an albino pup?? Will they just pass the gene on if I do either? What happens if I breed them to a normal wolf????

Breeding 2 carriers has a chance to produce carriers, non-carriers and muties, make sure you check all the pups at Gene to see if they are carriers!
For the best chance at an albino you want to breed 2 albinos together, next best option is a carrier to an albino then 2 carriers to eachother. All have a chance to fail and give all non-carriers (just so the game isn't entirely swamped by them). Breeding carriers or albinos to a non-carrier wolf will never produce the mute, but can give you a Carrier still.

The percentages are this:
Non-carrier x Carrier = 90% Non-carrier, 10% Carrier
Non-carrier x Mutation = 15% Carrier, 85% Non-carrier
Carrier x Carrier = 10% Carrier, 10% Mutation, 80% Non-carrier
Carrier x Mutation = 15% Carrier, 15% Mutation, 70% Non-carrier
Mutation x Mutation = 10% Carrier, 20% Mutation, 70% Non-carrier

Alright, I got it. I'll probably breed them to another albino stud … (not sure what to do about the male carrier though) Thank you!!!

I usually try to breed/buy an extra female carrier and pairbond them to my extra males I get. More pairs you can keep the more chances of breeding a mutie xD
