Groups Update

Notification System

The highly requested notification system is here! This robust system will allow even the largest of groups to quickly and easily send out notifications of group activity (new announcements, new polls, topic replies, etc.) without breaking a sweat. Additionally, members can pick and choose which notifications they want to receive (or none at all!) under the new Personal Settings manager:

Notifications will appear in a new tab in your Inbox labeled Group Activity:

Forum Tools

Group moderators now have the ability to manage topics. Topics can be deleted, stickied, and moved. Actions are logged, so that you know which of your group moderators are handling topics. On top of that, you can subscribe to group forum topics to be notified when they have been responded to (whether you yourself have posted or not).

Group Raffles

Groups can now host their own raffles! These raffles can be Public (able to be entered by anyone, even if they're not a fellow group member), or they can be Members Only (as the name implies, only eligible group members can enter). With this update, a new role permission "Enter Raffles" has been added. For Members Only raffles, only members with this permission can enter.

Ticket costs will be deposited into group's hoard and/or bank, while the prizes will be distributed to entrants. If a raffle is canceled or otherwise incomplete, ticket costs will be refunded to the entrants and prizes will return to the group's hoard and/or bank.

Icon Changes

When it comes to setting an icon for your group, you no longer have to worry about whether the site you're hosting it on will work with Wolvden (looking at you, Imgur), or if they'll change their policies and restrict image access after a period of time. Icons can now be uploaded directly and securely to Wolvden.

In addition to being able to upload your images, you now have two options when it comes to icon sizes. You can upload your images at the original 150x80 pixels limit, or you can choose to upload a higher resolution of 300x160 pixels. Larger icons will automatically be constrained to the correct size, giving them a higher quality feel.

This system is new, and if it works out well, we hope to expand it to other areas of the site as well (profile avatars, for example). Please keep in mind that any and all images uploaded via this tool still fall under the Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.

Miscellaneous Updates

• Activity logs can now be searched by keyword, making it easier to find out what's been going on in your group.


• Member list can be searched and sorted.


• Forum management now has a searchable icon picker, as well as additional icons to choose from:
  
  


• Broken icons should no longer ruin the display of member profiles, as they will be replaced with a grayscale default icon.


• New Permission: Vote in Polls - restrict which members can vote in polls.


• Re-order and hide individual groups from the Your Memberships tab:
  
  


• Four new group "types" have been added: Faction, League, Order, and Society.
  
  

Advent Calendar and New Years Collection

On the 18th, our Advent Calendar will begin! Through the Event page, each day, you can open a window to receive a new background or decor. The last gift can be opened on the 31st, and this is the last day you can open all gifts. On the 1st, the Advent Calendar won't be available anymore.
