Hi there! Thanks for peeping in :D This is the first time I'm doing such a big project, but I really wanted to take breeding more seriously in this game, and make my playstyle less reliable on RMAs. I'm quite excited, despite the fear of someone just keeping and making my perfect stud prospect a stud of their own after months of blood, sweat and tears.

You're welcome to comment, I would also be over the moon for some offers regarding wolves I need :D

Project cave: For the Glory
Main Goal: Acquire this beauty
Current Goal: Work towards acquiring all markings needed.

Roadmap


Phase 1 <-- Currently here!

  • Acquiring wolves with correct markings (or factors) in correct slots.

  • Creating pairbonds to get all combos needed.

  • Creating more pairbonds to acquire a wolf with at least 6/10 project markings at once.


Phase 2

  • Setting up the 6/10 wolf as a temporary stud.

  • Breeding more to acquire better suited stud. Ideally change the stud as soon as cooldown is over and I get a wolf with 8/10 and 10/10 markings.


Phase 3

  • Setting 10/10 wolf as a stud. Stocking up on Eyepass salts, putting Special Dark base on him.

  • Breeding said stud to my planned DH Seal stud offspring, using salts to maximise the chances of getting a Muted Dark with Dark Hazel eyes and as many project marks as possible.

  • Acquiring the perfect candidate that is probably long gen and inbred.


Phase 4

  • Studding the perfect, but dirty project wolf.

  • Breeding to as many muted darks, use Eyepass salts, to get more copies of him.

  • Chasing the copies until I get one, perfect project wolf back.

Wolves and Pairbonds: Status as of 27.12.2024


In order:
Deira Inverted Opossum

Black Shepherd Heavy

  • Ideally most if not all project wolves will get Black Shepherd mark applied to increase chances of it transforming into BSH.

  • 143 + 581. GOAL: Wolf with BS(H)2 and BC6.

  • 332 + 401. GOAL: Wolf with BS(H)2 and BC6.

Black Merle Patches

  • 453 + 583. GOAL: Wolf with BS(H)2, BM3 and BC6.

Deira Soay Unders

  • Next stud has this marking in correct slot, not worrying about it now.

Doubloon Merle

  • 913 + 615. GOAL: Wolf with DM5.

  • 860 + 958. GOAL: Wolf with DM5.

  • 815 + 301. GOAL: Wolf with DM5.

Black Cougar

  • 581 + 143. GOAL: Wolf with BC6 and BS(H)2.

  • 401 + 332. GOAL: Wolf with BC6 and BS(H)2.

  • 583 + 453. GOAL: Wolf with BC6, BM3 and BS(H)2.

Doubloon Shaded

  • Acquired first wolf with Honey Shaded: 645. Messaged someone who had a puppy with YS7 born today, owner agreed to selling the pup!

Slot 8: Black Vixen Points

  • Multiple due to Inari being popular. I'll stock up on BV to be sure and breed them straight to my DSU4 stud.

Black Arapawa Coat

  • There are no wolves on the market with Black Arapawa in correct slot. I'll need to put up trades and pray to RNG.

Black Points

  • Beleite + 459. GOAL: Wolf with BP10 and DIO1

  • Wisp. No PB yet, I'll breed her to studs to get more BP10 babies to work with due to how hard this mark is to acquire.

Next update: January 5th, when Wisps' BP10 litter will be born! I will be able to set up some pairbonds by then, including first DM5 attempt.

Update 31.12.2024



My hoarding tendencies won and so update is sooner than expected.

New Wolves




  • 704, HM5, pairbond with 550.

  • 550, YM5, pairbond with 704.

  • 705, HM5, pairbond with 815.

  • Ara, first wolf in the project with BA9.

  • Mateusz, another BP10 wolf.

  • Two new BV8 wolves weaned off and got added into the project cave: 626 and 628.


New litters



  • Ara Got bred to stud with BC6 and IBFd. A bunch of BC6 pups, no BA9.

Mateusz got bred to my temporsry stud, looking for BP10 pups. Wisp got bred to BC6 cubs, looking for BP10 BC6 pups.

Update 02.01.2025


Update was meant to be posted yesterday — I got too focused on Planet Zoo, lol.

New Wolves



  • 902, puppy with Yellow Shaded in slot 7! To be pairbonded with 645 in hopes of getting Doubloon Shaded.

  • 244, wolf with BM3! Bought from TC.



New litters



  • Mateusz turned out to be an absolute MVP and gave birth to 6 puppies, 2 of which have inherited his fabulous manicure and BP10: 760 and 762, boyh being female too. They will most likely be used to produce more BP10.

  • I Elk Hearted and IBFd 244. Bred her to Inari, to hopefully get some BV8 and BM3 puppies. Didn't get those, BUT I did get double BM3 pups: 616 and 618. Possibly going to pairbond them with the BP10 pups from Mateusz.


Plan adjustments


After talking to players way more experienced than me when it comes to breeding projects, I have following consideration in regards to the plan I have:

  • Moving Black Merle Patches to slot 2, and Black Shepherd Heavy to slot 3 because of better availability for BM2. If I fail to gather more wolves with BM3, I'll move the slots around.

  • Considering Dinar Shaded alongside Doubloon Shaded due to better availability (someone else did a 10x Shaded project and they had DS7). I plan on trying for both, since both are still pretty rare.

  • I was warned that breeding the perfect dog may be insane, but I am motivated. I decided I'll be happy with an outcome of less amount of project marks passing to the ideal wolf, ideally sacrificing some of the ones lower (slots 1-4). It's a very distant thought, though — for now I'll try my best!

Update 05.01.2025


Very belated, but I have great news!

New litters



  • Wisp had her litter; she was bred to BC6 stud and gave me a puppy with BP10 AND BC6, being the first project wolf to have two needed marks!



New wolves



  1. 256, a puppy with Dinar Shaded in slot 7. Not sure if I want to pairbond to BP10 BC6 or not.



Other


First pairbonds happened! In order: DIO1xBP10, BS2xBC6, and YM5xHM5. All litters are due on the 8th, so that's when next update will be.
I am also going around trying to buy some Black Arapawa wolves from people — I'll see how it goes!

Update 07.01.2025



Another update since I managed to get some new wolves!

New Wolves



  • BA9: 851 & 284. Already sex changed and IBFd; results below. Theyre not gonna go into pairbonds because of game limits. They will instead be used to produce more BA9

  • BM3: I looked spontaneously on TC and found 4 yearlings with BM3: 770, 793, 795 and 310. I'll try breeding them to studs; for now three of them got bred to my Paladin to produce more BM3.


New litters


Two Arapawa litters:

  • 851 was bred to a stud with Ducat Shaded s7. No Arapawa, one puppy with Ducat Shaded.

  • 284 was bred to my stud. Only one puppy, but it has BA9, so a small win.

I'll skip "new wolves" for now: I didn't really add many besides some Shaded and Arapawas. Still not too many. I'll do some kind of summary at the end of all the project wolves at the moment.

  • HM5×YM5 litter: 4 pups, finally got a pup with Doubloon Merle s5!

  • BS2BM3×BS2BC6 litter: 5 pups; 1 puppy with BS2 and BC6, and 2 pups with all three: BS2, BM3 and BC6! Huge win :D
