OOC FORUM } ROLEPLAY { CHARACTERS Devotion & Destruction You were born into this cruel world, without the ability to choose if you wanted to or not. It happens to all of us, the inability to make our own decision in our first seconds of life. (Please make sure your wolf/wolves fit the description of their current or previous pack or at least keep their design relevant (unless they are a loner). This is to add a sort of organized feeling to the packs. For example, if you want to have a wolf in Crowskull, they wouldn't be a striking white. That would be in Swanfeather. Also, to answer your question, no, there are no half-breeds (as of yet) in this roleplay. The wolves of the packs have kept their bloodlines pure and have not mixed them with other packs' or loners' genes.) (Also make sure that your wolf/wolves fit (or have names related to) the name group of each pack. Eagleheart wolves have nature-related names (Oak, Bluejay, Magpie). Swanfeather has Japanese-inspired names (Gin = Silver, Shurui = Kind, Sora = Sky). Crowskull has pretty much made-up names (Jacara, Nurro, Meneera). Ask in the OOC if you have questions about a specific name group or if you need help finding a name!) |

wouldnt let me paste the direct image, but here he is Name: Deathbringer Deathbringer was born on a full moon in winter. An only pup, he didn't have any siblings to combat for anything, and yet he still seemed to be the most combative pup either of his parents had seen. he seemed to combat for milk, biting around himself to make sure nobody was there to take his prize. he fought with other pups constantly and did not hesitate to pounce on opponets. He grew into a dedicated guard, protecting his pack at all costs. However, in a skirmish with Eagleheart, his father was killed. After that, a disease hit his mother. The herbalist tried everything they could to help her, but she was too far gone. Therefore, she died too. As of now, the closest person to Deathbringer is his cousin, Beetle. He trusts Beetle with his life. Deathbringer setting: where the roleplay is taking place (ex: crowskull camp - clearing) mentions: who he refers to, thinks about, or talks to in the roleplay (ex: beetle) Deathbringer sat in the clearing of the camp, rain splattering his face. He growled at the sensation, as he never liked rain. But he had to wait for Beetle to get back; it was something he always did. Suddenly, as if on cue, Beetle ran into the clearing with a rabbit in his jaws. His tail was wagging and he set it in front of Deathbringer. "Could you bring this to the alpha?" He asked, looking at his cousin. "They always eat first, y'know." Deathbringer gave a hearty laugh. "A' course, Beetle. Glad to see you came back safe." Deathbringer picked up the rabbit and began to walk over to wherever the alpha is, intent on giving them the rabbit Beetle had caught. |

━━━━━━━━━▲━━━━━━━━━ “Sometimes the only friends you have Are your countless enemies.” ━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━ NAME Elka [El - Ka] “Elkie” “Elk” “Ka-ka” PACK Swanfeather RANK Messenger AGE 2 years, 8 months GENDER She-wolf [she/her] SEXUALITY Bisexual & Biromantic ━━━━━━━━━▲━━━━━━━━━ “I came out to attack people and I’m honestly having such a good time right now.” ━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━ APPEARANCE Elka is not the most intimidating wolf in the pack. A tad bit shorter than average, sporting a lithe build, Elka is a runner in body and heart. Lined with lean muscle beneath her brumal pelt, she’s clearly one that puts in the work. Despite the lack of height and rippling muscle, one could guess that Elka had a good diet as a pup, and they’d be correct. Situated within a stable pack with a good food source gives amazing opportunities to the young. Elka, for the majority, holds a rather leisurely vibe to her, with a hint of irritation. A general approach if you dare vibe. Silvery eyes that dig into your skin, seemingly judging you for breathing. Elka is a tapestry of various hues. A wintry vision, her pelt doesn’t hold many strong opacities. A collection of whites, creams, and grays, she’s similar to a cold taiga biome. Her face is delicately colored, rather milk-like and silky, with soft brown hues above her brows that fade out below her ears, growing fainter as they reach her neck. Her paws are a stark white, and that white gains more hues as it moves up her leg. Her belly is entirely white as well. The majority of her body is patched with grays and silky creams, with white trailing down her back, fading out to more silvery hues as it dips to her tail. Her tail, like her body, lacks a snowy element. Grays and dark creams take over the topside of her tail, ending on a black tip. Many within her pack would think that Elka would have more of a collection of scars. Surprisingly, that isn't the case. Sporting only one scar that ever stuck, Elka is miraculously bare. A testament to her speed? Or just luck? Regardless, one scar marks the brumal she-wolf, directly upon her muzzle. A singular scratch that looks to be a month old. DEMEANOR ENTP-A | Chaotic Neutral | 8w7 Elka is a strange case. Not many individuals can say they know her. Everything about her seems temporary - fickle and never sticking around long. Acting lazy and uninterested one second, and the next they’re leading an investigation or helping you with your love life (though help is a loose term.) There’s an air of unpredictability about her. Adorning a mask of disinterest and mild irritation, Elka won’t let anyone know when they’ve snagged her interest. Regardless of this little mirage, Elka is a curious wolf. They might pretend like they aren’t listening, but still lurk conveniently within earshot. Adventures are never out of the question. Information never forgotten. Elka, despite their regularly worn mask of disinterest and their leisurely act, is a wolf with a love for things to do. Tasks given to Elka are often done in record time, and done well. Elka commits to things with a terrifying zeal, and this is seen by those in authority and by anyone who interests her enough to drop her act. She’s quick to act, often described as hasty by keen observers. Elka works hard to earn her place, contrary to what one might think. They enjoy having a home, and they want to feel like they deserve it. She has a strong will that is observed in the thick of it. She doesn’t mind staring horrors in the face. She’ll push through regardless. She is not one to be intimidated by odds. Elka, weirdly enough, leans towards optimism. It doesn’t do all that well with her recklessness at times, and can often get her in deep shit. Elka isn't that friendly, in all honesty. She’s not one to pop out of a nap and compliment someone’s fur, another’s smile… she’s just not all that sweet. Which wouldn’t be an issue if she didn’t embrace that fact so readily. Fiery with a whip-like tongue, Elka will likely make you wish you never crossed her path. The comments she spits like a well-brewed venom are her most famous form of socialization. Her parents used to simply brush it off, loosely blaming a bad nap in the face of the public. If it was a bad nap, she’s been having them consistently since she was able to form a coherent thought. Pretty impressive. Not all of her conversations are prickly and venomous, but it’s a bit too common to simply fly under the radar. Elka has never had the blessings of forming connections. Their parents weren’t terrible, but they weren’t the best either. Their siblings were varied, but often fell between Eh and I’d Sell You To The Devil For One Corn Chip, so connections were a bit lost on her. Doomed from the start. Her family wasn’t all that friendly either, even if some were better at hiding it than others. They were known for their dogmatic structure, and Elka didn’t stray too far from this. She doesn’t mind confrontation, and seems to flourish in it. (“What shoes your mama got on in her casket?”) On top of this, she’s salty. Do anything to slight her, and she’ll carry that with her for the next year. Perhaps longer, but usually she has more content to work with by then. Elka craves connection, even if she acts like she’d like literally anything else. These thistle walls of hers may be towering and barbed with harsh words, but she yearns for the day that someone makes their way through it. Kindness might not be her first or second or even third language, but it’s not something she’s against learning. Maybe she just needs a good teacher? ━━━━━━━━━▲━━━━━━━━━ “You would sooner divert a river from its course than deny my nature.” ━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━ RELATIONS Kaoru - [ Mother ] - Deceased “What? Your paws fail you or something? Couldn’t be me.” Asahi - [ Father ] - Deceased “Where was all that fight you had? Weird.” Siridean - [ Brother ] - Alive, Adoptable “What… an asshole.” Saaru - [ Sister ] - Alive, Adoptable “Stop looking at me before I put bugs in your fur.” Namika - [ Sibling, NB ] - Alive, Adoptable "You stayed out of the drama, for the most part. Good for you, swamp ass." Mate: None BACKSTORY Elka’s life was pretty… normal. She never really tagged an adjective to it. It was something that went unspoken, even with her own family. Her parents were young when they met and they were young when they decided that they’d curse each other with their existence every day for the rest of their lives. Romantic. They’d been through a lot together, and they thought it would be a shame to let all of that go to waste. Trauma bonding, right? Anyway, they found a pack that would take them in, and from then on, they worked on building their family - more existences to curse the world with. As if it needed more. They had one litter, five in total. Elka was one of the little beasties to pop out. The fourth to enter the world. From the start, their family was less than perfect. Aren’t most families, anyway? Their parents butt heads more than once a week, and the little beasts followed suit. It wasn’t uncommon to find Elka’s entire family fighting over something. Everything was free game. Most fights were verbal, but sometimes a tussle broke out. Every sibling had beef with each other, and their parents weren’t much different. Elka, her eldest sibling Siridean, and the runt of the litter Saaru were the worst of it. Siridean was opinionated and angry, Elka was precise and gung ho, and Saaru had something to prove. Weirdly enough, Elka knows for a fact that those two stupid siblings of hers are the only ones she’d go to war for. But anyway, parents die. Hers certainly did. They never really found out how. They just found their blood and tufts of fur leading away and away, and right into territory unknown to them. They were unable to collect the bodies, but the image was enough. Kaoru, her mother, was the Messenger before her. It seemed only fair that Elka — the swiftest out of her siblings — be granted the honor her mother once held. ACCESSORIES None. Sometimes, Elka will have remnants of the forest tangled in her fur, with tufts of moss decorating her shoulders and mane. She either doesn’t notice or doesn’t mind. EXTRAS Elka believes a bear killed her parents. She’s not sure, though. They’re dead, so why should she bother with what did the deed? ━━━━━━━━━▲━━━━━━━━━ “I've always believed it's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission." ━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━ |

━━━━━━━━━▲━━━━━━━━━ “You have your way, I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way? It does not exist.” ━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━ NAME Tempest PACK Eagleheart RANK Guard AGE 4 years GENDER She-wolf [she/her] SEXUALITY She believes labels are unnecessary. ━━━━━━━━━▲━━━━━━━━━ “Easy to find faults. Hard to find a remedy.” ━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━ APPEARANCE Tempest doesn’t like to stick out. Her posture is always casual, never submissive or dominant in the way she appears. Her tail always stays stationary, never lifting in anger or show, never tucking in fear. She stands firm and with as much stubbornness as a physical mountain. She has streamlined limbs and a focused, stoic expression. Smokey green eyes are willing to bore endlessly into your own Most of Tempest is soft in color, easy on the eyes. Her pelt is a mixture of tans, creamy beige, with ebony and onyx hues along her back and tail. Her fur is long and flowy along her sinuous, muscular physique. A tan color takes up most of her lower half, with a creamy beige panning over the rest of her belly and the undersides of her limbs. Her face is a work of cream and tan. A band of black works itself around her eyes, strengthening the look of her brow and intensifying her gaze. An onyx hue drapes itself along her back, starting at the back of her neck and working its way down to her hips before slipping into a more brown-based hue. The onyx along her back drains down towards her flanks, peppering her sides and melding with the tans and beige. Her rump has brown bandings; one above the thigh, one on the thigh, and one behind. Her tail is tipped beige. Tempest is mostly leg, despite her moderate muscle capacity. She’s not the tallest in the pack, mostly due to her sex, and her fur is abundant and plumes around her face, neck, and shoulders with curling ends. The overall amount of fur makes her seem larger than she actually is. Tempest has one notable scar. It spreads between her neck and shoulder, oftentimes obscured by her unruly (although immaculate) pelage. It doesn’t look too old, as it is still rather pink, and sometimes it aches. Where it originates, no one knows but herself. DEMEANOR ISFJ-A | True Neutral | 8w9 Tempest is known for her hard working personality. She rarely, if ever, fails at an assigned task and will often get it done within record time as long as distractions are minimized. Once dedicated to a task, she will do her absolute best to complete it and refuses to give up. Tempest is not exactly known for being optimistic. She leans more towards realism and pessimism. After all, she’d rather keep a level head and stay out of the clouds. If anything, she’d rather have a good idea of the worst thing that could happen, if only to be prepared. If she has a goal, and she feels as though she has overreached, she will generally fall back and reassess. Tempest has a clear vision of who she likes and dislikes, and how she can keep her liked companions out of trouble. While she’s not one to smother and linger longer than she has to, she does like to make her opinion of dangerous activities known to her precious pals. And is not against joining them. You know, for protective purposes… But she’s intuitive. Instinct is something she holds onto with all her might. Born into the life of a loner, she often had nothing but herself (and sometimes her mother) to rely on. This led to her listening to every reaction her gut had. While this tends to be seen as paranoia or cowardice, it had kept her alive when she needed it, and so she trusts herself completely. Tempest is proud of her diligence, which can lead her to feeling a bit critical of herself and others in everyday life. If you did something wrong or imperfect, she will be the first to call you out on it. She is very self-critical and will often kick herself over every little thing that went askew. A loner’s blood is strong within this one. Despite being in a pack she tends to only think for herself rather than the general population. While it’s a survival mechanism, it is rather useless and counterproductive within a group. Despite her obvious intelligence, she has a tough time figuring out what is right and wrong. She seems to move within that morally gray area, rather than simply being on the white or black sides of things. She moves with that she feels (or what she believes) is correct, and sticks to it. If others get hurt because of her actions, she usually couldn’t care less. Tempest never, ever takes things lying down. She’s fierce and not one to walk over. The protectiveness she has over a certain few can cause her composure to crumble, and an unpredictable attack to take place, should someone overstep. ━━━━━━━━━▲━━━━━━━━━ “Never be in a hurry to die. ━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━ RELATIONS Tarkik - [ Her Problem ] - Played By Woodkin, Alive “You helped me. For some reason. Hope you like a personal bodyguard.” Aita - [ Mother ] - Loner NPC, Unknown “You raised me well. I hope your travels are interesting and your belly is full.” Unknown - [ Father ] - Loner NPC, Unknown “...”
Mate: None BACKSTORY Tempest’s life was pretty normal, for a loner. Their mother met her father, and then her father left, and then she was born. Astonishing, right? Her and her mother lived with each other, bouncing from territory to territory, surviving with each other. Their relationship was interesting to say the least. They acted more like coworkers than family. A duo that hunted together, looked out for each other, but held a strange distance. No other loners joined them for their entire time together. Despite their lack of maternal connection, she was not unfeeling. She didn’t want anything bad to happen to Tempest. Her mother taught her everything she could. Eventually, Tempest grew in ability. A jack of all trades with a taste for the more physical - fighting - but with the build and composure of a guard. Happy with the pup she helped raise, but feeling a bit weighed down, Tempest’s mother decided to hit the road. This time, alone. Tempest understood, and saw her off. But then she ran into her own problems. Hunting while down a wolf was harder than it appeared, and it seemed that she was never fully fed. A ghost of hunger always lingered. And there was no one you trusted to look after you, or spot you should you be stuck doing something rather… stupid. Tempest did do something stupid. She doesn’t do stupid things often, but when she does, they’re usually the hurting kind of stupid. She ended up wounded, growling and limping as she tried to maintain the last shred of dignity she had. Unfortunately — or fortunately, depending on your impression — she wasn’t alone. Another wolf came out of the brush and decided to help her. She didn’t know why. They looked like they could piss themselves at any sound she made. And despite her injury, she could probably still put them in an early grave. Regardless, they stayed. They helped. And Tempest… Tempest had never felt more alone when they left. Thankfully, the Eagleheart Pack — the group the squirt belonged to — was taking loners, and Tempest decided to make the stranger her problem. ACCESSORIES None. Unless someone else (Tarkik) puts them there. EXTRAS None yet. ━━━━━━━━━▲━━━━━━━━━ “I'm not a monster. Now unless I need to be." ━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━ |

~ Kirameku ~ - - - NAME Kirameku - "Shimmering" Nicknames: Kira (Common nickname), Kiki (Hated nickname unless used by close friends) PACK Swanfeather RANK Huntress AGE 2 years 9 months BIOLOGICAL GENDER Female (She/Her) SEXUALITY Biromantic Asexual - - - PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION A silky-furred female, her pelt is colored with several shades of grey. Her sides and flanks are lighter ashen, with darker gray on top, and silver streaks along her spine - causing a shimmering effect, which is how she got her name. Her tail has a lighter streak just before a darker tip, and her underbelly and the back of her legs are mostly silver-white. She has a paler muzzle, and distinctive white eyebrows above her eyes - which are a bright orchid color, sharp but veiled. Her skin and her neat, sharp claws are mid-toned gray. In her build, she is slender and elegant, her well-groomed fur flowing along her body. Her legs are long and slender, with dainty paws. Her face is delicate but sharp, her ears pointed and her muzzle streamlined and narrow. Her eyes are almond-shaped and quite narrow. She is always well-groomed and neat, her pelt so clean it almost sparkles, thanks mainly due to her habit of bathing daily. She is slightly smaller in size then most wolves, but don't be fooled by it - she isn't weak. - - - PERSONALITY + Calm, Intelligent / Quiet, Wary, Reserved, Focused ~ Cold, Aloof Calm. Kirameku is calm and level-headed; she doesn't panic easily in most situations, and is good at thinking rationally even in chaos. She isn't commonly caught off guard or startled, but if she is, she usually manages to stay calm. She isn't neccessarily good at calming others down, however. Intelligent. Kira is definitely smart, and is fairly good at figuring out what other wolves may be thinking; despite this, she isn't very good at picking up on emotions, or she simply doesn't care. She can usually figure out a situation quite quickly, or think of a solution to something. Quiet. This huntress is not shy, far from it. Instead, she prefers to keep her opinions to herself, even if they might help another wolf. On one hand (paw?), she isn't outspoken, so gets in less trouble that way, and she doesn't easily blurt stuff out; on the other, she might keep vital information to herself when it's needed. Wary. Kira doesn't easily trust other wolves, and prefers to observe them and see what they're like before interacting with them. She is sometimes overly distrustful, but it can be beneficial if she determines something is "off" with a wolf who otherwise seems friendly. Reserved. She isn't a wolf to trust easily, nor does she particularly like spending time in the company of others; she is quite closed-off and reserved, and often spends time alone - except when hunting, in which case she becames something of a changed wolf, more open and excitable (but still focused and alert). If she was to become close friends with anyone, it would likely be another hunter. Focused. Kirameku is not easily distracted or surprised once her mind is set on a task. This is good for her role of huntress, but she may become snappish or irratible when another wolf is less dedicated to the task at hand. She is also not good at multitasking. Cold. Kira can be quite cold and calculating sometimes; she doesn't have a fiery type of anger, but instead, a cold and biting one. She mostly uses her narrowed eyes to do the talking when in a bad mood. Aloof. The huntress isn't the type to stick her nose in the air and pompously strut around; instead, she's aloof, ignoring or glaring at those that she (for whatever reason) considers "below her". - - - RELATIONS Mother: Mizūmi (Deceased) Father: Kōri (Elderly NPC) Siblings: Unnamed (Stillborn Brother), Shizuku, Matsu (Deceased Brothers) Other Family: None living Mate: Currently, none BACKSTORY Kirameku was born at the end of a harsh winter to Mizūmi, who was weak and a little sickly. Kira had three siblings, all male, but one was stillborn. Only a few weeks after their birth, Mizūmi became ill. All three pups also got the sickness, and both of Kira's brothers passed away. Kirameku and her mother both survive the sickness, but Mizūmi was very frail. Kōri was devastated after all his pups had died except for Kira, and couldn't bring himself to care for her. He feared that if he became attached, she would also die and he would be heartbroken - so he became distant. The young pup grew up raised mostly by her mother, but Mizūmi was too weak to play or spend much time with her and no other pups wanted to, so she became quite cold, a loner. When she was an adolescent, she was inspired by the hunters, who risked themselves each day to feed the pack. She was joyous to become a hunter upon reaching a year of age, and began becoming a little more open and friendly. But only a few months later, her mother passed away from old age and lingering effects of the sickness. The young adult was devastated, and when Kōri, guilty and sad, tried to reach out her, she snapped and pulled away, becoming even more of a loner. She still enjoyed the hunt, and became a little more open, but whenever she wasn't hunting she became aloof and reserved again. As she got older, she began to mend her relationship with Kōri a little, but not much, and she still has yet to have any true friends or wolves she feels safe around. - - - ACCESSORIES None. EXTRA As mentioned in the "Physical Description" section, Kira has a quirk where she goes to bathe in the lake Swanfeather lives by daily. She says it helps keep her pelt clean (and that is part of it, but mainly she just enjoys the water and swimming). - - - ROLEPLAY SAMPLE Kira was in a bad mood. Cold rain poured down, drenching her, turning her usually neat pelt into a soggy mess. Water dripped down her flanks, off the tip of her nose, into her eyes. It was too wet to even hunt, so she had nothing to occupy herself with except feeling angry. She paced around the pack's camp, not wishing to go to the den she slept when it was full of wolves. She'd rather get wet then deal with others. "Kirameku." At Kōri's voice, the female's head snapped up. Her ears flattened and she twitched the corner of her lip in a snarl. Her father stood in the den entrance, looking worried. He seemed to be waiting for her to speak, but she stayed silent, instead narrowing her orchid-colored eyes with a harsh expression. Kōri flinched. "You're getting drenched. Come in the den." He paused, lowering his head and peering up at her submissively. "Please." Her teeth flashed in anger. "No." He'd been trying to get all chummy with her lately, and she wasn't into it. Especially not when she was in an already bad mood. Without waiting for an answer, she whipped around and ran out of camp. She heard her father calling after her - "Wait!" - but she couldn't be bothered. Raindrops bounced off her body as she ran, mud splashing underfoot. Finally she came to a halt at the edge of Cormorant Lake, flanks heaving and tongue hanging as she got her breath. She waded into the water - it felt warm compared to the torrential rain. The female pushed off the gravel bottom and swam out into the lake. She began to feel better, and a bit guilty about her outburst earlier. Kira shook it off; it wasn't her responsibility to feel bad, if it was Kōri's fault for trying to talk to her in the first place. She floated for a moment in the vast silence of the water, then paddled back to shore and climbed out, gravel crunching underfoot. She would rest here a little, on the lake's shore. Then head back. The lake and the rain were much easier company then wolves. - - - |
