Petition to Change 1 Fish per 10 Minutes -> 144 Fish per day

About the weather I mean that depending on it, some players may know when to fish to get most valuable fish while the new ones might stand no chance to reach leaderboard if they fish in disadvantageous environment and they don't know why they don't catch good fish. Currently, if you decide to be much more active than the others you usually don't care what weather is, you constantly gain score by fishing. Thank you for showing your point of view, I understand you like ideas that would come purely beneficial for everywolf. I have a different one, I think mainly about balancing gameplay. I guess we can't convince ourselves to change our points. I have new questions though. How would you suggest splitting fishing into two modes? If I'm not wrong, according to the suggestion included in your response tournament fishing would be only for score with current timing system and casual fishing would be according to your original suggestion without the scoring system. If it was split into two modes, tournament players would play both modes because they gain more SC from casual aspect than the tournament one (100 SC cap vs. 50 SC for the first place), meaning they would have to play more than it currently is. Also, tournament fishing would mean you risk that if you don't fit into leaderboard, you gain nothing and all the fishing you've done would go in vain. Currently, delicate meat and legendary fish are a consolation prize for fisherwolves who tried to fit in the leaderboard but failed. Also, how would the fish rarity work with your suggestion? The only purpose of distinguishing fish into common/regular/uncommon/rare ones is that you gain the more SC the rarer fish you submit. If time limit was revoked, there would be very little purpose of distinguishing rarity of fish as you'd gain SC cap quite easily by submitting every fish you catch (every 15 seconds). |

@Daznek there's still a cap on the *amount* of fish you catch- if you're only allowed to catch X amount of fish, submitting 100 Regular/Common 5 oz fish is still going to limit the amount of SC you can get. It's about maximizing the amount of money you can make by being particular about the kind of fish you submit within the limit. |

Goose, this is actually what I mean. Considering you get 100 SC cap, there's little purpose of SC rewarding system based off rarity. Why would you try for rare fish to gain 7-8 SC if you can gain the cap easily by catching only common ones that give 1-2 SC every 15 seconds? |

I'd like to clarify that we're asking the cap to be *moved* not taken away. Put the cap on the amount of submissions rather than how often you can submit, so I'm not sure how you're confused. If new players don't know about the weather bonuses in the current system, they're still at a disadvantage, so I'm not sure how that applies to this suggestion but not the current way the game works. |

@Dzanek I mean, all new players are going to struggle on all aspects of the game, but the Grouse House is already working on a rather spectacular fishing guide for the mini game. Plus, newbies are always welcome to post on the help forums for assistance. I’m a little lost on what you mean by modes, though. |

Because you'd get more money with the rare fish types? And with the legendaries, you also get the catch itself in your hoard. There are more bonuses for getting rarer fish types than common. And that would also lend to play style, as to which style players would put more value in- fast and quick, or slow and more rewarding? Plenty of players at current can turn in common/uncommon fish now, the timer just gets in the way of them reaching the cap quicker. |

"Also, how would the fish rarity work with your suggestion? The only purpose of distinguishing fish into common/regular/uncommon/rare ones is that you gain the more SC the rarer fish you submit. If time limit was revoked, there would be very little purpose of distinguishing rarity of fish as you'd gain SC cap quite easily by submitting every fish you catch (every 15 seconds)." If there was purely a limit to how many fish you could turn in, it would still be incentive to catch the rarer fish so that you can get more SC for your daily haul, which means more site-time as the rarer fish are harder to come by. (Especially if someone decides that they want to specifically turn in Legendary Fish ONLY) So, I don't see the issue with the fish rarity. People are already using this system (whether it's the weather, the fish itself, or the leaderboards) to get more SC in whatever way they can; this would just change it to favor people who only have so long to be on each day, since they have other responsibilities, and it would still be allowing to people who play a lot more, if they allowed you to continue fishing so long as you couldn't turn them in. |

😳 I did not think about that... this is an extremely valid point, huh? ---
I didn't think of this either... AKLASJASLK;;.. I'm genuinely not good enough at arithmetic to calculate what I'm thinking about calculating. Is there a way we could find out, like, on average how long it would take to max out at 100 SC earned with the current system in place? We could use that as a basis for an idea on how to solve this. |

You get 1-2 SC for every common fish, which is average of 1.5 SC every 15 seconds, it'd take average 1000 seconds to gain 100 SC cap, meaning less than 17 minutes, but this is only considering common fish - the time would be much shorter as less regular fish are getting caught by chance. The chance to get each rarity is not certain and I guess it'll take a while to calculate this. But just thinking about this, assuming most players won't waste time trying to appear in the leaderboards for 5-50 SC reward and won't waste time to find out whether caught fish drops delicate meat or not, they'll basically submit fish every 15 seconds without thinking what the fish is, without thinking about the weight or rarity of the fish until they reach the limit. There would be no point of throwing the fish if you can submit and catch another one. Which means players will simply spend around 5-15 minutes daily constantly repeating "hold the splash -> drop on green area -> click submit" sequence. Half the features this fishing mini-game offers would lose their meaning if you don't play for score or legendary fish considering it too time-consuming. Wouldn't it make this mini-game boring? |
