Petition to Change 1 Fish per 10 Minutes -> 144 Fish per day

Yup, you'd still have the 144 fish cap and the SC cap!

@Stabby -- Just dropping in to say that's a really cool idea and should(?) be easy enough to code! :D And a lot of good points in your other post too.

Big support, though preferably for the 50 to 100 fishes submitted a day rather than 144. This would be big for people who don't have the time to get on every 10 minutes to submit a fish and can instead just wrack up a bunch and then call it a day. Also this is something that would be beneficial to ALL players, not just the people who don't have as much time. People who want to fish all day can still do that in order to strictly get larger size fish, whereas people who fish for the SC can do that very quickly.

As someone who is fairly casual about fishing, I don't mind the 10-minute wait at all, especially now that the game has been updated to keep your held fish when the game is closed (thanks devs!). I'll typically open the game, submit my held fish, catch a new fish of decent size, and then tab out and do something else until the fish is ready to submit. I appreciate that the game has a sound effect so you know when to submit your next fish.

Alternately, if I'm on mobile, I'll check in to send out my hunters/scouts, then I'll be like "oh yeah I have a fishing quest" and pop in briefly to submit my held fish and catch a new one.

Either way, I don't find the 10-minute wait to be frustrating or onerous. It doesn't really take up my time since I just do other stuff during that time.

This suggestion is considerably old.

The update that allowed held fish to be saved even when the game is closed directly addressed the original issue, and made fishing significantly less tedious.

I once agreed that replacing the ten minute limit with a daily fish cap could be done easily enough. However, between the game now being "fixed" and so many people pointing out so many potential problems with the idea in theory, I can confidently say I don't support the idea any longer.

No support. I like the 10 minute timer, as it gives me enough time to find better fish than I have. If I had a fish limit, I would spend even more time looking for the absolute best fish rather than submit any decent/good ones I have in fear once I hit my limit, it wouldn't have been enough. I aim for the largest I can find, both for the leadersboard but also because large fish give delicate meat which can either be used or sold.

I'm not sure about the time you made this, but I do not lose fish if I refresh or close the tab.

Yeah, at the time I made this you lost your fish if you refreshed. They fixed it after a lot of people asked, I think? At least, that's what I remember.

I will say, I no longer support my original stance. I think more support should go towards implementing new games rather than improving the already existing ones. The fishing game is alright as is, and it is actually pretty fun when I want to hunker down and beat peoples scores for a day.

For me personally, I prefer games like i-spy and matching tiles, so that may have been why I was so quick to criticize a game that wasn't exactly what I wanted. It was an unfair expectation. I think going forward I will appreciate what the devs put out more than I have in the past.

Support, though I do think the 144 cap is much too high.

Granted, if you really optimize your fishing game throughout the entire day, you can submit 144 fish...

But who actually plays every 10 minutes over the course of 24 hours?

I think even your proposal for 50 fish a day is easily too many. Whatever cap is on the fish is what people will try to aim for every day. I like the fishing game, but I'd feel annoyed if I felt I "had to" catch 50 every day...

Not to mention the rewards for the submitted fish would have to be lowered, or you'll start to have a really unbalanced economy between people who fish, and people who don't like to/want to/don't fish.

How many hours a day is an average Wolvden player online? I got no idea. But lets say that they probably don't spend more than 4 hours put together throughout a day on this site.

That's 240 minutes, divided by the current 10 minute cooldown = 24 fish.

How about rounding that down to an even 20?

20 fish a day seems reasonable to me.

If added to the idea of getting a "Collection" for the fish, that would be 20 potential fish you can add to your book of records every day. As long as the rare fish stay rare, that should give people a little project they can work on for a while.
