Flag/Spoiler for Body Horror Decor

Posted 2021-01-31 18:29:31

Sorry if anyone found my Bleeding Eyes decor disturbing!

I think the reason things like the blood were able to pass is because blood is already shown in Wolvden via the Open Wound, but I can totally get how these feel even more extreme.

I think the sort of thing they are trying to avoid is like, exposed organs or really graphic wounds.

That said, I support.

Support, I had this thought too and although it doesn't bother me personally, I can see how it would bother others. I agree with making it it something you can switch on or off in settings :)

True, I think users should be able to blacklist some tags used in decors ex. spiders, body horror, and anything else they're uncomfortable with seeing! That way it doesn't have to be limited to just things most people find uncomfortable, and it can be catered to the user. And then, white out the wolf with an appropriate warning regarding the tag they blacklisted. Some of the things that load in are kind of startling.

I'm not usually averse to body horror type images, etc., but when you are not expecting it, it is very startling. And there are some custom decors that have been approved that are very unexpected and skew very uncomfortable even for me.  Everyone should be comfortable to be and express themselves however is approved on site, but with a game about breeding wolves, probably it's not too unexpected some people are a little shocked when searching for a stud for a female wolf and coming upon a creation with its eyes bleeding and a mouth in its throat wielding a dagger. :D

As long as it is an option individuals can choose to toggle on and off themselves, I think it's a great idea.

Support! I fully respect that some people want to be able to create and use such decor, and I don’t want them to be removed from the game, but it would be nice to be able to make sure you don’t stumble upon such decors when you’re not prepared. :)

as someone whose made horror decor I support this idea! also being able to blacklist certain decor tags sounds like a really useful feature.

SUPPORT! I don't get huge reactions from body horror things, but those eye mouths were just... not something i wanted to see lol.

Support! It's not something I'm personally affected by but I think it's important for other users. Wolvden has blood and dead prey sure, but not on the same level as some of the entries that have been submitted (like body horror for example).

Full support!

Being able to hide major blood & gore would be a hinderance to no players, just a benefit. Some extra coding is a small price to pay for the playerbase's wellbeing.
