humans are involved in wolves lives, even the more remote wolves. there’s a pack where i live that is being actively monitored as the hopeful return of wolves to part of california, where they belong. |

We're posting on this topic to remind everyone once again to keep your responses respectful to all players and on-topic in regard to the original suggestion. Even if you might not agree with someone's views or outlooks, making a post on this forum topic specifically to call out why someone's opinions might be wrong, rather than contributing to the original suggestion with respectful and meaningful input, is not the purpose of the game development forums. We've once again cleaned up this topic and ask that you please stay respectful with future replies. We would really like to avoid having to lock this thread due to the verging off topic and targeting remarks towards other players, thank you. This is a moderator post. |

I wouldn't want humans as battle encounters in the game. I like the little hints of their presence sprinkled around, and that's more than enough for me, personally. I wouldn't mind having passive interactions where you encounter abandoned campsites, get new toys like boots or hats or dog toys or other items humans left around or lost, encounter trail cams of researchers for new expressions or pose decors, or even battle encounters that are CAUSED by or CONNECTED to humans, but don't involve fighting the actual human (ex fighting their hunting dog[s] they send to chase after you instead of attacking the hunter directly). That said, I would not want humans as the actual battle encounter. I already ignore a handful of encounters because they make me feel bad and uncomfortable (the sled dogs being a battle example), I really would rather not have to avoid any more. If they were something I'd actually have to fight and not just some fringe influence or cause or whatever I'd likely drop the game. Even the thought of getting them as a quest from the snake is kind of upsetting. |
