Soulgards are a species of large deer found in high-latitude taiga forests all over the world. Built with a uniquely tall and limber frame, the species thrives in its natural habitat thanks to its near-silent footsteps and keen sense of hearing. The Soulgard deer is well-known for its characteristic long tail and diversity of antler shapes, which are almost always present on both genders of deer. While their feral population can only be roughly estimated due to the deer's elusive nature, it is understood that they are most likely endangered in the wild, or at least skillfully evade being sighted.
Those who report sightings of wild Soulgard deer often claim the presence of strange phenomena, like the deer "vanishing from plain sight", "glowing" or even "liquifying" (preposterous), though these claims are dismissed as silly old legends and creative imaginations among the greater scientific community. Likewise, various local cultures revere the deer as old forest deities in their mythology, and it is said that encountering a Soulgard in the wild can either bring about a fantastical miracle or a terrible tragedy - but it's likely all just folklore...

• When bidding or purchasing a deer, make sure you already have the necessary funds!
• Please do not re-sell your Soulgard deer to someone else, or edit the gif in any way.
• I might be busy with school or work at times, but I'll always update auctions as soon as I can; this means it may take me a few hours to update the thread if I'm not at home.
• If you take them offsite, please credit me with a profile link for the design and artwork. If you use them onsite, just crediting my ID is fine (#46315)!
• After payment is sent, I'll send you the full-quality unwatermarked and transparent version of your deer.
