I am questioning if I am a therian. I have a lot of experiences that align with therianthropy, especially when I was young. Quadrobics felt like my natural form of locomotion back then and I made "gear" out of things around the house to feel more in touch with my animalistic side. (tails made from trash bags and paper masks, lol). The only reason I "grew out of it" was to avoid getting teased by my peers, and I didn't have the vocabulary back then to describe the sensation of a phantom tail, or the way my ears try to swivel towards noises. However, I don't really feel discomfort about being human, or "species dysphoria" as some have described it, which is why I question if I am really a therian. Then again, if I am a therian I feel that my theriotype would be a raccoon. Given that raccoons are fairly adaptable, plantigrade and have dexterous paws that resemble human hands, I wouldn't be as predisposed to feeling that physical "miss-match" as someone with a feline or canid theriotype might. I'm still not sure, what do you guys think?

hmmm...I've heard some people argue that species dysphoria is a key part of the therian experience, though I personally don't feel like it's a necessity. You could be other-hearted? Like raccoon-hearted? That's where you don't experience as intense a connection, like species dysphoria or shifts, but you still strongly relate to an animal/being. :D

The only requirement for therianthropy is to be an animal! No one can answer that except you.

Some therians dont feel dysphoria or have it very little, and that's okay. From my experience I can say that I don't have much dysphoria probably because I'm a physical nonhuman - my mind is a wolf so my body is.

I think I will have look into other-heartedness some more, a lot of these words and identities are still new to me.
