💰✨Lowering the GC price!✨💰

I do wish GB would stay at a lower spectrum of the price range. ✶ — johnny [he/him] #49564, kinda has a point. Would the mods be okay with this though? |

Over my time here at WD I've always had so much trouble getting GC because of the insane prices of TC, It's so hard that I can't imagine GC being worth even 100 SC |

Right now, with the daily quests, I think you can get around 300 SC daily. At your suggested prices, that means you'd be able to get roughly 3 GC with daily quests alone. Not only would these prices be unbalanced given the current frequency of SC, but it would also drive the worth of the GC available in the grove down, and players would be less enticed to spend real money on WolvDen. If I were to buy the $10.00 USD pack of GC, and sell them all for 60 SC, that would give me 2,400 SC. That's less than the SC I have right now, and hardly comparable to the current prices on the TC. 2,400 SC would not get me nearly 40 GC worth of things. Hypothetically, it could work, assuming everyone wanted to follow along, but what about people who have tens of thousands of SC? Suddenly, do they get to buy hundreds of GC and pretty much be able to obtain anything they want to? Adjusting the price of GC won't revert prices to what they used to be. 2,400 SC in the current market could garner me a couple hundred uses of food, or maybe a Black Sage (two if I'm lucky), or one or two relatively unremarkable wolves. Black Sage currently sells at 5 GC a pop right now, which means I could buy eight outright if I got the $10 USD pack of GC. This also means that each one goes for roughly 1,500-2,000 SC per. If I bought the $10 pack and could obtain 8 with my GC, but only one to two by selling that GC for SC, that would unbalance the market even further. It would also cause GC to start becoming obsolete, thus reducing the amount people buy at the grove, which would lead to less financial support for WolvDen... The issue here isn't the GC pricing alone, it's just that SC is becoming more common. This is to be expected, as more people join and more people do their daily quests— it doesn't just spawn out of thin air. To hold GC to the pricing expectations of a year ago when less people played this site is simply unrealistic to me. The GC prices have fluctuated as necessary to keep their worth and value enticing enough for people to work towards them. And, more often than not, GC is traded for items or wolves rather than SC. I have 50 GC and I haven't spent a dollar on this game (yet), and it's worth noting that most of mine came through trading items or wolves on the Trading Center. I don't pretend to be an economics expert, so maybe I sound incredibly stupid. But reducing the price of GC for the sake of reverting it to its value back when the market consisted of fewer people seems incredibly detrimental to me. |

If you list GC for cheap immediately people will buy it up quick and use it or relist it at a higher price for profit. It's in the interests of the people profiting off of people buying GC to keep the price where it's at or it going higher as long as there are still buyers. |
