Posted 2022-04-30 15:21:04 #736238 After a situation regarding misinformation around breeding mechanics on our sister game Lioden recently, we have decided to make a change to Wolvden's marking passing mechanics - specifically opacity, and any impact it has on passing a marking. Before today: When breeding markings, there was a 75% chance of a marking passing if both parents had a matching marking in the same slot, otherwise 50% chance of a marking passing. Once a marking passed, its opacity would then be averaged across the parent's opacities for that slot, and then randomised with a -10 to +10 range. If a marking's opacity dropped to below 1% due to the randomisation, the marking was then removed. Ooh, a news post!

It looks like more markings will be applied when you breed now, right? Since before, there's a possibility for a marking to not make it if it goes under 1%, but now the markings just get changed to 1%. I'd love to see wolves with more markings, I love this.
