He laughed with her and said
"I'm Max, nice to mee-"
Before he could finish, he could smell another being with them.
Cat.
"I see them! Get them" an armored cat said from behind.

She immediately jumped up. Max had already begun flying away, but she was still on the ground, heading back towards the entrance to the cave.
The cats had begun chasing her, but she was still faster. She'd almost made it to the entrance of the cave when she was suddenly pinned down. There were several beings on top of her, and she couldn't fight them all off.

As he flew, he saw that sliverstream was pinned below.
"Oh no!" He thought as he flew down, grabbing 3 cats on top of her and flinging them to a nearby tree. 		WolfFox 🐺 🦊

She spanned her wings, shaking off the rest that had held her down. She stood up and looked at Max, who had begun flying again. She gritted her teeth and ran straight through the caves. She'd been playing around in those caverns since she was a hatchling, so it was nothing new. She emerged on the other side and ran straight back to camp. She knew she shouldn't have just left Max like that, but she couldn't have stayed without being caught.
She paused around halfway back to camp. Now that she was sure the cats hadn't followed her, she began assessing the situation. She'd been scratched up pretty bad, but other than that she was okay. She could go talk to BirdWatcher about some herbs for her pain, so she wasn't worried. She sighed her relief, but then . .

Max flew into a nearby tree, looking back. He saw that silverstream had gotten away. Relieved,  he took a short nap. 		WolfFox 🐺 🦊

She turned around quickly, having noticed the c.dragon scent around her.
"Who's there?! Show yourself!" She hissed, flicking her tail.
"Geeze, Stream! No need to be so hostile!"
"BirdWatcher, you scared me!" She groaned as BirdWatcher stepped forward, reavealing herself.
"Yeah yeah, I kno- Wait, what happened?!" She asked, seeming worried. "Oh, y'know, just the cats again. Speaking of which, they've gotten closer to the highlands. They attacked me out in the open." She gritted her teeth, sounding disgusted even by the mention of cats. She specifically avoided mentioning Max, and how he'd been on their territory again.
"Well, I'll make sure to let HawkStar know, but for now, let's get you patched up!" She insisted, turning to head back to camp.

SilentStream couldn't help but wonder if Max had gotten away. She hadn't seen him leave, but she hoped he'd managed to escape. She worried that the cats were getting ready to invade, but she was tired. She ended up sleeping until sundown.

Max was sleeping, when he heard the horns from the castle from a while away.
"Hmm. Must be another meeting" he said, and went back to sleep. 		WolfFox 🐺 🦊

She wandered back out of camp, making sure not to let anyone see her leaving. She'd always enjoyed evening walks, since they were the only thing she could really do on her own. Because of her disability, she was never really chosen to help out with hunts or patrols. She often stayed behind to look after the hatchlings, so these walks allowed her to feel independent.
She suddenly heard the horns. They sounded fairly close to her, which was unusual. The meetings were normally held up in the mountains.

After he took a short nap, he smelled something.
Smoke
weird, why do i smell smoke? Max thought..then he saw it.
