what if (and yes i know it would be complicated, maybe) what if around the 6-7 yr wolves could have a random chance to start going blind, deaf or get arthritis and there proficiency points started to decrease and they had less chance to bring back prey, or couldn't explore much land or brings back less herbs.

I like this idea, while it may not be something a lot of people would want for their wolves, as it's in no way beneficial, I love the realistic aspect of wanting this in game. Old animals do tend to suffer from these problems, it's quite common actually, and I'd like to see a symptom/illness like this in game eventually, especially with people already wanting an elder stage for their wolves. It'd make a lot of sense to me to have these issues occurring in older wolves, it probably wouldn't be a cause of death (would be cool if it could be though) because the pack would probably take care of them, but, we already have illnesses in game that slow your wolves down... why not add fatal/permanent illnesses as well?

No support. I am a stat breeder, so every day that my wolves can gain stats is important to me. To have them no longer perform well in their roles would not be fun--it would make them feel like they have little to no use left. I am sentimental, and I really like that my oldies can keep up with the younger ones! I like to think they are craftier, and know all the little tricks to their job and thus can perform it well no matter their age. I want to enjoy my wolves for the full extent of their lives, instead of them having to leave their roles early just because they can't do well in it anymore. Then what are they supposed to do? I don't always have pups that need training or pupsitting (and I have dedicated pupsitters for that, and once they reach death roll age they can't pupsit anyway--unless I want to risk losing pups). I want all my wolves to have jobs, so they can be contributing members of the pack. I let my pupsitters that age to death roll age to stay on with no job, but that is a shorter period of time and less wolves to do it with rather than it happening to my whole pack (at potentially age 6, 1.5 years before they start death rolling!). Besides, their lives are short enough as it is.
And I have lost enough animals to old age for me to not want my digital wolves to have to suffer from age related ailments (unless it is self-imposed via lore). I have enough of that in real life. I get that it is more real but... I don't necessarily play this game for extreme realism.
