"Why can't you just abide by the pack laws," Scar's father huffed, his mother adding in a defeated sigh. Scar rolled his eyes before laying down, resting his head on his paws. The silvery blue colour of his father's eyes blazed sharply, intensely. The large black wolf scolding him was his father, Nosferatu. The silent, but disappointed silver and white wolf was his mother, Ghost.

"You used to be so considerate, kind, loving even! Now it's like you can't tolerate this pack anymore," Ghost whined out softly. Her hazel eyes were a turmoil of exhaustion, anger, sadness, and defeat. Scar inhaled sharply, his ears swiveling backwards. His silver eyes glazed over, the colour draining from his eyes.

"I just wish you'd let me go-" Scar began, his voice monotone before his dad cut him off with a snarl.

"Fine, go! Survive on your own," Nosferatu growled. Scar sighed silently, that wasn't what he wanted. He just wanted to explore the world, embark on an adventure.

"We have no need for a wolf who doesn't pull their own weight. Get out," his father continued. Scar looked at his mother before looking back at his father. He stood up slowly before shaking his coat out. Turning, he left the pack grounds without a word.

The large wolf was an ombre of grey and white patterns. Hints of silver and even dark grey swirled along his body. It gave him the perfect camouflage for hunting in the winter, snowy months. Even during the summer when he was high in the mountains, where the snow remained year round. Though, it was poor for hunting down within the forests at the bottom of the mountains. This forced Scar to hunt prey he normally wouldn't on his own. Even so, Scar managed on his own quite well for several days. That was until he tried to hunt an elk herd on his own.  His leg ended up getting wounded and left him with a noticeable scar. It hindered his hunting capabilities whilst it was healing, which left Scar hungry and weak.

Scar looked around his surroundings calmly. His breath curled up in the air as it left his muzzle. He was laying in an abandoned den that he happened to come across. Low snarling quickly caught Scar's attention. His ears shot up and his head raised quickly. He stood up carefully, silently. Sniffing the air, he caught the scent of an unknown wolf.

Scar silently stepped out of the den, lowering himself near the ground. His eyes narrowed as he scanned his surroundings. His hackles raised and his ears were pinned against his head.

"What are you doing in my den," a wolf snarled in a raspy voice.

"It was abandoned, don't lie-" Scar began, his voice holding a harsh snarl. He was cut off by the other wolf snapping at him and lunging towards him. Scar snarled and lunged forwards, locking onto the wolf.

It became a flurry of fur, blood, and snarls as the wolves fought. Scar would thrash and slash open the unknown wolf's belly. The wolf would claw at Scar's head, managing a deep wound across his face. Scar's body was also littered with scars by the end of the fight. Bite marks and claw slashes were scattered amongst his legs, sides, belly, and backend. The back of his neck had a large scar that was a mixture of a bite and claw mark.

With all the scars, Scar managed to come out victorious. He managed to slash the unknown wolf's face and blind them. They quickly bled out from their belly wound as well.

Scar lay on the ground, bleeding as he stared up at the night sky. He felt eyes on him and he slowly pulled himself up. His body was heavy and his eyes struggled to stay open.

"You fought bravely and well, follow us young one," a low voice echoed out towards Scar. His eyes narrowed and he looked around him, surveying his surroundings. Nothing seemed malicious or underhanded, from what he could tell.

"Ah, what the hell," he muttered. Scar slowly made his way towards the voice, his paws dragging in the dirt with every step. Little did he know, it would be the perfect new beginning.
