This post only really worked for Matchmaker 2023 when the dating pools were unbalanced. With every wolf being dateable in 2024 (meaning all pools are balanced), this post isn't needed. I'll keep it up to keep comments visible, but this suggestion is no longer relevant. TL;DR: Wisp and Inve are confirmed to be lunar-exclusive dates and can only be unlocked during the lunar event. All genders were missing one or both of them before the pool expansion on the 22nd, meaning players only get 2 chances to unlock the missing lunar wolves out of a large group of dateables before the Lunar event ends. I suggest that they remain unlockable for the remainder of the event so that all players have a chance to get the full roster. Today it was confirmed that Inve & Wisp, the two lunar dateables, will only be unlockable during the event. While players who have unlocked them already will be able to continue dating them, anyone who misses out on unlocking them before the event will miss out on them. With the update to the event on the 22nd, all genders could now date all wolves to fix the imbalance that missing dates caused. I was excited because one of my favourite wolves from the event is Wisp, and now I could interact with her! Except that because she'll only be unlockable during the event, the odds were very heavily stacked against me to unlock her out of the total pool of missing wolves from having a NB lead. I completed the two chances I had at a daily quest before the event ends, and didn't unlock Wisp or Inve. I unlocked two of the other dates that will be available for the rest of the event, and now I'm locked out of getting these characters despite doing everything I could. All genders were missing 1 or both of the lunar wolves from their pools prior to the pool expansion. In a best-case scenario, the chances of being able to unlock the lunar dateables in time are:
This is a side effect of not being able to unlock them for most of the event due to the pool restrictions. There are a number of users who have also completed the storyline, so they can't use those bonus unlocks from the coyote / deer quest to unlock more than just the daily quest wolves. The easiest way to solve this issue would be to allow Inve & Wisp to be encountered at any point during this years event. By next year the pools will be equal from the get go, so it won't be required that they be available at all times. But for now the decision to keep them locked after the event conflicts with the decision to make all dates unlockable, since we haven't had a lot of time to unlock them. Edit 04/03/23: Lunar wolves have not been unlocked since the end of the lunar event, so it can be safe to assume they can no longer be unlocked. |

So I'm holding off on feeling any particular way until we know for sure. But if it is true that we can't unlock Wisp/Inve once the Lunar event ends, that should absolutely be changed. Tons of players didn't get Wisp OR Inve, let alone both. |

We'll probably have a better idea by tomorrow, and we'll definitely know by the 25th if male leads have unlocked Inve by then. I'll spoiler it for now and ask for it to get deleted if they do stick around =) |

I wish I could say all of us collectively had the same awful luck simultaneously and didn't get Inve/Wisp until the last second, because that would be pretty funny, but no. They're literally unlockable. So yeah, I support. Nice little additional LB imbalance for those who lucked out, I suppose. ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ |
