Also, if you celebrate, please share with me a turkey leg
Nature made it's roaring as thunder crackled and lighting flashed.
The Storm Raged On.
You were but of a wolf, exiled from your pack, you travel and travel, hoping to be found. You climb over mountainous ranges, stretching across the lands. And as if some God was cursing you, a dreadful storm was happening in the midst of it.
Your paw pads ache from walking, your pelt is drenched, and you can barely see anything due to the harsh winds blowing raindrops into your face, you decide, you must find some safe place to rest... You consider a large tree holding its ground from the storm, you approach it, but a large branch falls down right under it, yikes. That could've killed you.
You think against resting underneath trees during this storm, you paw pads are practically screaming at you to rest, and your muscles are starting to get sore.
Suddenly, you see a cave ahead of you, yes! A spot to rest! You didn't care that it might be inhabited, you rush on over to the cave and slump the second you enter it, you rest for a bit, rest.. At last...
A Surprise Guest.
You begin to shiver from the cold of the cave and the water that soaked your fur, you open your eyes slowly.. And your heart almost skips a beat..
...
...!
Something.. Stares back..
You stare at the three eyes in a panic, whose eyes were these?
Suddenly, the eyes moved, and a flame ignited, the creature that had the three eyes grabbed it, and the cave slowly lit up.. The creature revealed itself, it was a wolf..
You gaze upon the figure, he was thin, and aged. His cave... decorated with items of all sorts... Feathers, trinkets... It was an interesting cave, to say the least.
The figure begins to speak, his voice raspy with his aging.
"I see you have stumbled upon my cave, yes...?"
You nod.
"I understand, that storm out there looks quite... Hellish."
The elder pauses, before speaking once more.
"I ought to tell you my name. I am Allsighted, and while I may not be special... I am welcoming and accept outsiders inside of my cave for cover, just like you did, now get up, and have a look around, if you please."
You get up, and browse around the cave, you looked at many things, rocks with weird imprints on them, leaves, feathers, but the one thing that caught your attention was both the big, shining book and the flame Allsighted used to light the room.
You ask about the flame.
"Ah, this flame is a special one, it's an Eternal Flame, it will never go out, and when you touch it.. It doesn't burn. Try it."
Allsighted places the flaming stick at your paws, you touch it hesitantly, he was right. The flame didn't hurt nor burn.
"The flame is used for warmth and light." Allsighted explained.
You then eye the big book he has, and you try to touch it.
"Whoa! Don't do that. This book is only for the Chosen to touch!" He insisted, rushing over to the book's side like it was a defenseless puppy.
Chosen? That was a little strange.
"... This book contains our past, and how we became one, and our Gods, made peace with one another."
You were both interested and surprised, a whole book of their history? That is surely a sacred treasure.
"But, if you're curious.. I can read it to you, if you want me to, anyway."
Do you want to listen to the book of their history?
**Link and image will go here eventually. Probably will be a Wolvden thread post but idk.**
You decide, for now, that you'd read it later. Allsighted nodded in understanding, he turned to the entrance of the cave.
"The storm has calmed down quite a bit, eh?" He murmured.
Indeed, what remains of that dreadful storm was calmed raining and occasional lightning and thunder.
"While this calmed raining lasts, let me show you our Pack." Allsighted offered, walking his way out of the cave and into the rain, you follow, curious.
Welcome.
You're surprised to see that the packmates of this pack aren't sheltering and staying safe, their pelts were drenched, but they didn't seem to care.
"We usually don't care about getting our fur or body wet in rains, we consider it to build an immunity against diseases, because having a cold body temperature can lower immunity, with constantly being in it, we think that it strengthens our immunity. The only wolves that don't go out in the rain are puppies and their pupsitters and/or mothers." Allsighted explained.
You think that is an interesting practice.
"We also have rules, they are sheltered into a cave, where, hopefully, nothing will ruin them.." Allsighted motions his tail for you to follow him.
You follow obediently.
The Rules.
You stumble upon the cave that is foretold to contian the rules and ways of the pack.
"This is our rules and policies... We aren't the ones to punish severely, punishments are minor, and most of the time there isn't a punishment. I will allow you to read over our rules, if you're interested."
Key:
Wolvden moon phases images = The rule.
Sun = Side notes to clear up the rule or add to it.
↣ Everyone (excluding Lead) shall be fed at the end of the day.
↣ Wolves shall only be played with when they hit 90% mood, they get played with at the end of the day, too.
> If a wolf with 95% mood enters the pack when everyone is at 90% mood, they get played with.
↣ Spoiling-soon food shall be eaten first before the fresh food.
> This is to preserve the fresh food from being eaten immediately and not have a lot of rotting food.
↣ Inbreeding is unethical and should be avoided at all costs.
> Any accidently inbred pups will be given away somewhere else.
> We will not give away any inbred pups from OTHER packs.
> We can make an exception if the inbred puppy we bred has great stats and would make an excellent hunter.
> In the above statement... Any inbred pups bred by us will not be allowed to breed.
↣ There is no hierarchy of leader position through family blood. Any wolf, regardless of blood connection to previous leader, can become the leader.
↣ It is a tradition under Fegthan's nature that hunting teams must have semi-violent names in Latin for their hunting teams.
> This is to add to the nature of killing animals for food.
↣ Under no circumstances that Deorum Protectus moves to another biome.
> The Gods live in the mountains, they call it their home, moving would leave the Gods behind.
↣ It is a tradition to collect the pelts and fur of animals to symbol power and to keep the pups warm in the coldest of days.
"I think you may have noticed the mentioning of a "Fegthan" while reading this, yes?"
You nod.
"Fegthan is one of our Gods, his full name being Fegthanakaos, but not everyone can pronounce that clearly... We have another, too, named Ilioszoifissi, but again, it is shortened to Ilioszoi for the sake of your tongue."
There was a moment of silence, as the storm from earlier calmed down rather quickly.
"Now, I'm off to return to my cave and dry myself off. I hate the rain. You can wander off and figure things out for yourself."
As the elder trots away, you turn your head and stare at the mesmerizing dusk that hints towards the end of a day.
This is the home, the territory, of the thriving Deorum Protectus pack.
Nighttime Activities.
You laid in the cold visitor den, the pack was sound asleep.
You wake up to a strange chilly, tingly sensation deep within your gut, your breath feels cold and your paws felt like ice... Something, a strange something was present.
Looking up, you see a strange figure looming over you, at first you thought it was Allsighted, but the glowing white eyes and pitch-black figure told you different.
The air made a fizzing and sizzling sound as the being faded into existence.
You jumped as it started to speak.
"Come, come.." A raspy, old, and echoey voice rung the den, its long tail swishing as you got to your paws.
As you walked, you can hear the chatter and laughter of wolves.
As you got nearer, 7 shapes appeared.
The group turned to look at you.
"And who are you? Fegthanakaos... Don't you realize how annoying it is to bring a new wolf here for us to introduce...? Its getting old." a she-wolf growled, her bat wings folding irritably.
"Smoke, why do you always have something to say? This isnt the attitude you should be having when talking to a literal God." Another she-wolf scolded her.
"Are you now suddenly my mother, Teleluna?" Smoke shot back, her teeth baring.
Teleluna rolled her eyes.
"Our ancestors would not be happy by this dispute... Please calm down..!" An anxious voice arose, he started to click some gemstones and rocks together, Smoke eyed the stones, "Cosmo, those rocks wont tell you nothing." His ears flattened at her bold statement, "I'll have you know they work wonders! I can even contact my dead mate with them!" With that phrase, his head drooped, "Oh, if only Stardust were here.." He mumbled quietly. Smoke's eyes rolled, her lips peeling back in a quiet snarl.
A glowing figure stepped up.
"Now now... No need to get rowdy.." The figure said, eyeing Smoke, "Let us introduce you to The Immortals."
