While Alpha MapleThorn demonstrated strong leadership in the inaugural year, challenges arose in the subsequent three. The pack experienced fluctuations in membership as wolves departed due to perceived inadequacies in food provision and recreational opportunities, leading to increased stress for the Alpha. BrakenStep, a loyal and immortal wolf and close friend of MapleThorn, remained with the pack. Upon assuming the role of Queen, BrakenStep successfully addressed the issues that had led to previous departures, ensuring abundant food and engaging activities. This revitalized the pack, attracting numerous new members. As the pack flourished and grew in strength, it cultivated strong relationships with neighboring packs, engaging in mutually beneficial trade and fostering friendly alliances. Recognizing his advancing age, Alpha MapleThorn diligently sought a suitable successor, carefully observing and assessing both pups and adult wolves. His selection process was rigorous, reflecting his deep commitment to the pack's long-term well-being. Although MapleThorn passed unexpectedly, he had already identified MossBack, a charismatic individual, as his chosen successor. The pack herbalist conveyed MapleThorn's final wishes, appointing MossBack as the new Alpha. While some members expressed jealousy, the majority welcomed MossBack with enthusiasm. MossBack's first year as Alpha was marked by stability in both food supply and pack currency. She quickly gained the affection and respect of the pack. This success continued into her second year, with the arrival of numerous new members and the addition of her own pups to the pack.






BrakenStep sat vigilantly at the entrance to the Forest Walkers' cave, her head turning as you approached. "Greetings, Traveler," she inquired, her tone guarded yet welcoming. "MossBack resides in the first den, located up the slope to your left. I am confident she can assist you." With a slight nod, BrakenStep stepped aside to allow you passage. As you ascended the slope, you observed several wolves entering and exiting the first den. Upon entering, you found MossBack engaged with other wolves, who were soon dismissed. Her gaze then turned towards you, and she greeted you with a gentle smile. "Did BrakenStep direct you here?" You nodded in confirmation. "Please, have a seat," she invited warmly, gesturing towards a space within her den. She then procured a generous portion of meat, a bowl of water, and a healing saliva to alleviate the strains of your journey. "Now, what brings you to me?" she inquired, settling comfortably before you. Following your discussion, MossBack concluded, "I believe that concludes our meeting. Have a pleasant day!" with a slight bow of her head before returning to her duties
