Akuma Clan

   The Akuma Clan was said to exist since the beginning of times. Blessed by the god of the moon, Tsuki. The Akuma are said to possess unbelievable strength, their blessing from Tsuki. But what comes with strength, comes weakness. The wolves of this clan cannot stand daylight- they disappear if exposed to just the tiniest beam. Although, there is one thing that has kept them from dying out completely. The leader before Muzan- Akira. They were said to be a "Child of Tsuki". Akira had the ability to withstand daylight- this is the ability that kept the clan alive. The lingering dregs, kept by their god. When Akira passed, his children were given honor, and were called the Children of Tsuki. They and their kin kept the name.

Now, some wolves were blessed by Tsuki outside of having Akira's blood. One of those wolves were Kangaeru. They have passed, but the females of her bloodline carry a necklace with a lunar tear. These are the "Followers of Tsuki". They are bestowed a tear when they reach adulthood.

Lunar Tears are said to be fragments of Tsuki's soul that have fallen down onto Akuma territory. A new leader of the clan has to find a Lunar Tear before truly acknowledged as a leader.
