Den lore descriptions.
\/
You walk into a clearing nestled between the crest of a mountain and the edge of a forest. Every surface is woven with glittering frost or smothered under a thick layer of downy snow. Despite the cold, the wolves who call this place home are warm and welcoming. Even offering you a place to stay the night.
You start to wander the camp, getting a lay of the dens and the inhabitants of each.
By just stepping into the clearing you are practically already standing in the Common-den . Many wolves mill about the clearing. Chatting to each other, eating, training or, just resting, The throng of wolves breathing life into the chilly tundra air.
You wouldn't be at fault for not noticing that this was a den at first glance.
Nests of dried herbs and feathers are gathered in clusters of five to seven around the edge of the stone wall. There isn't a main roof for the den. Instead, pelts of reindeer and seals hang propped up on long branches over the nests.
Near the entrance lays a pile of prey, snow scraped over it to keep it fresh.
As you pad through camp, your nose catches a whiff of herbs. You glance around, searching for the source, and your eyes fall on a darkened corner, the Medicine Den. On closer inspection you see that it's the entrance to a small cave, pine branches draped over the doorway block the inside from sight, feathers and shells are woven through the pine needles and they rattle as you pass. Stepping Inside, you are hit by a wall of fragrance. You're standing in a small cave, herbs litter the floor and hang from the ceiling. A small hole in the roof of the cave shines light onto piles of soft bedding, a few wolves lay in their nests, recovering from various ailments. A busy-looking wolf bustles around the den, adjusting nests and sorting herbs into neat piles, they turn to meet your gaze, giving you a quick nod before returning to their work.
